Stephen “Steve” Walter Bullock

Mr. Stephen “Steve” Walter Bullock, age 53, of Thomaston, passed away July 20, 2024.  Steve was a Florida native who grew up at the beaches of Jacksonville. He had loved to travel and moved to Colorado where he started his own business, Land Shark Catering. Steve’s love of cooking led him to open several restaurants in the Vail, Colorado area.  After 20 years of living in cold weather, Steve moved to Thomaston to be near his father. It was there he found the Lord and his Mountain View Church family, who he loved and they loved him back.

Steve took a job at Quad/Graphics where he worked part time so on weekends and holidays, he could park his food truck “Land Shark” around Thomaston. Steve came to love the people of Thomaston and they were equally as fond of him and the wonderful food he prepared in his rolling restaurant. He loved all animals and had recently moved into a home so he could adopt a companion.  He also enjoyed deep sea fishing and was in St. Augustine, Florida, preparing to go fishing with his brother and nephew when he became ill.

He is survived by his father: Bob Bullock (Christy) of Thomaston; mother: Donna Bullock of Jacksonville, FL; brother: Robbie Bullock and his nephew Shane Bullock of Jacksonville; aunt: Sherry Barbarasi of Jacksonville; cousin: Kristi McLachlin of Jacksonville Beach; step-brother: Dan Daniel (Shanda) and their son Brooks Daniel all of Thomaston; close family friend: Sally Beth Pickham of Jacksonville; and many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11 a.m., in Mountain View Baptist Church, 2569 Jeff Davis Road, Thomaston.  Pastor Ryan Christopher will officiate.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
