Mr. Bobby Franklin Gibby age 53 of Thomaston Ga, died Monday October 28, 2019 at his residence. 
Mr. Gibby was born on March 22, 1966 in Dayton Ohio to Rose Ann Hobbs and the late Charles Franklin Gibby. He attended Thomaston Church of God.
Survivors include his mother Mrs. Rose Ann Hobbs of Thomaston Ga, brothers Mr. Richard (Shirley) Gibby of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Jeptha Earl Livingston of Thomaston Ga, sister Mrs. Miranda Gibby of Thomaston Ga.

MRS. MARILYN KAY SMITH NIPP

Mrs. Marilyn Kay Smith Nipp, age 50, of Thomaston, died on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Nipp was born July 2, 1969 in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Louis and Ouida Fowler Smith.  Mrs. Nipp was a member of Northridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nipp is preceded in death by her son, Tony Powell Jr. and sister Ann Smith.
Survivors include, her son, Shane (Jordan) Powell of Thomaston, daughter, Lyndsey Gray of Picayune, MS, brother, Timothy (Kay) Martin of Forsyth, sister, Pat (Danny) Sanders of Manchester, grandchildren, Malachi Powell, Alyssa Gray, Chantley Powell, Aaliyah Powell, Olivia Powell, and Landon Gray.

MR. LYDE WARREN KILLINGSWORTH SR.

Mr. Lyde Warren Killingsworth, Sr. age 82 of Meansville, GA, died Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be Monday October 28, 2019 11:00 AM at Pine Mountain Nazarene Church. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
Mr. Killingsworth was born January 1, 1937 in Thomaston, GA to the late L. W. and Frances Easom Killingsworth. Mr. Killingsworth was a member of Pine Mountain Nazarene Church. He served in the United States Airforce and Navy during Vietnam. He received a BA degree and served as a minister for 25 years in Nazarene faith and was retired from Robbins Airforce Base.
Mr. Killingsworth was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marian Harp.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lavelle Killingsworth of Meansville, daughter, Karen Evans of Rentz, GA, sons, Warren Killingsworth, Jr. and his wife Beth of Barnesville and Mike Killingsworth of Bainbridge, GA , brother, James Killingsworth and his wife Elaine of Meansville, grandchildren, Lyde Killingsworth, III and his wife Ashley, Ian Wright, Elise Wright, Alan Killingsworth and his wife Mandy, Bryce Killingsworth, Jamey Evans and his wife Mandy and Dusty Evans and his wife Ashley, seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday October 27, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
Mr. Killingsworth will lie in state 1 hour prior tot he serve at Pine Mountain Nazarene Church.

MR. JUSTIN SETH GIBBY

Mr. Justin Seth Gibby age 60 of Thomaston, Ga, died Friday, October 25, 2019 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Gibby was born March 30, 1959 in Upson County, GA., to Clinton Arthur Gibby and Mae Futch Gibby.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clinton Arthur Gibby and daughter, Tabitha Gibby.  Survivors include his son, Dustin (Christa) Gibby, sisters, Tina Gibby, Sheila Moore and Valerie Leverett, grandchildren, Pistol Gibby and Jackson Gibby.

MR. VIRGIL WARNER STURGEON

Mr. Virgil Warner Sturgeon age 90 of Thomaston Ga, died Tuesday October 22, 2019 at Providence Health and Rehab. 
Mr. Sturgeon was born on April 17, 1929 in Oklahoma City Ok, to the late Virgil Larry Sturgeon and the late Masina Glass Sturgeon. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Mr. Sturgeon served his country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two daughters Tonya Dick and Dallene Baillargeon.
Survivors include his daughters Donna Wages, Margaret Blackstock, sons Virgil Sturgeon Jr, Keith (Kathy) Johnson.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Friday October 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from Sherwoood Memorial Gardens in Jonesboro Ga.

Mr. Floyd Nathaniel Pollard age 92 of Thomaston Ga, died Friday October 18, 2019 at his residence. 
Mr. Pollard was born on March 13, 1927 in Turner County Ga, to the late Grady Pollard and the late Beulah Mae Wilson Pollard. He worked as a mechanic for many years. Mr. Pollard was a member of Hebron Congregational Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and Treasurer.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Genada Pollard of Thomaston Ga, daughter Mrs. Brenda Gail (Ray) Neal of Jackson Ga, sons Mr. Clayton (Sherrie) Pollard of Jersey Ga, Mr. Wayne (Mary) Pollard of Thomaston Ga, brothers Mr. Benny Pollard of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Henry Pollard of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Ina Mae Gregg of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Annie Ruth (Ritchie) Yansom of Rochelle Ga, Mrs. Martha Pollard Hibler of Medford Ok, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.

Mr. Gassett was born on October 26, 1942 in Thomaston Ga, to the late David Gassett and the late Reva Carter Gassett. He worked as an insurance agent for many years. Mr. Gassett served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

MRS. WILMA CAROL PADGETT

Mrs. Wilma Carol Padgett, 59 of Williamson, GA died October 12, 2019 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Padgett was born on November 29, 1959 in Atlanta, GA. to the late Fred Coker and Marzelle Timbs Coker.  She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God of McDonough.
Survivors include her husband, Dwayne Padgett of Williamson, GA., son, Keith (Geneva) Padgett of Meansville, daughters, Denise Thompson of Winder, and Kayla Padgett of Ellijay, brothers, Gary Coker of Atlanta, sister, Marsha (Don) Lee of Palmetto, nieces and nephews, Ashley Lee, Jessica Price, Austin King, and Skylar King, all of Palmetto, grandchildren, Kristen Cook, Haley Mervine, Jaden Mervine, Ethan Earls, Averi Adcock, Legend Padgett, Lakelyn Padgett, great-grandchildren, Eli Jones and Lila Jones.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Morris and Dale Barbour.

Michael Thomas Lowe, 31 of Lagrange, GA formerly of Thomaston died October 10, 2019 at his residence.
A memorial service will be Sunday October 13, 2019 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.
Mr. Lowe was born September 16, 1988 in Thomaston, GA to Jeanice Partain Lowe and the late Billy E. Lowe, Jr.
He was employed with Weiler Forestry Co. in Lagrange and was of the baptist faith.
Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Billy & Shirley Lowe and Robert & Ruth Partain.
Survivors include his mother, Jeanice Lowe of Thomaston, daughter, Kalani Lowe of Thomaston and the mother of Kalani, Marilyn Gaines of Thomaston, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

RIVER TRAVIS BRODNAX

River Travis Brodnax was born into this world, already departed from it, on October 3rd, 2019.  He was loved dearly by a large extended family. He is survived by his parents, Joel and Heather Brodnax; brother, Reeve Brodnax; half siblings, Justin Brodnax, Aliese Stubbs, and Brittany O'Callaghan; aunt, Adrian Dawson; uncle Jonas (Tiffany) Stephens; cousins, Natalie Dawson and Riggs and Isla Stephens; grandparents, Calvin Selph and Debby Lucas; great grandmother, Jean Baugh; and many grand and great aunts and uncles and extended cousins who had been eagerly anticipating his arrival.  He was preceded in death by grandparents Carlton and Lois Brodnax and Tommy and Jeannie Self.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Sunday, October 13th, at Coggins Funeral Home in Thomaston.

Mr. Cole was born on July 15, 1971 in Griffin Ga, to the late Charles Edwin Cole and the late Edna Collins Cole. He worked as a landscaper for many years.
Survivors include his sisters Lee Ann (Billy) Woodson of Thomaston Ga, Kerrie Cole of Thomaston Ga.

Mr. David Norman Evans, age 66, of Thomaston GA, died Thursday, September 19, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Evans was born July 8, 1953, in Thomaston to Mary Frances Jones Evans and the late Harry Norman Evans. He was the owner of Royal Trophies in East Point GA and a member of Jones Chapel Congregational Christian Church in Woodbury GA.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Frances Lovvorn of Woodbury; sister, Melanie Evans of Thomaston; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Norman Evans.
Memorial services for Mr. Evans will be held at the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Mary Smith Jimmerson age 84 of Thomaston Ga, died Friday October 4, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Jimmerson was born on July 3, 1935 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Troy Smith and the late Estelle Kendrick Smith. She was formerly employed with Thomaston Mills where she worked as a Supply Room Clerk for over 40 years. Mrs. Jimmerson was a member of Zion's Chapel Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Peugh Jimmerson.
Survivors include her sisters Mrs. Martha Cooper of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Ruby (J.B.) McKinley of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Addie Lou (Kenneth) McInvale of Thomaston Ga, nieces Mrs. Audrey (Russ) Bridges & Mrs. Pam (Barry) Lord.

CSM Jess W. Boyd US Army Retired bought the farm at his residence in Upson County, Georgia on Monday October 7, 2019.
CSM Jess W. Boyd from Alphoretta, KY was born on January 25, 1930, son of the late Burl Boyd and Norma Vanhoose Boyd. He has resided in Culloden for the past 40 years, he and his wife were former owners and operators of the Flintside Restaurant and Motel on Hwy 19 S. He retired from the Army in 1979 after 30 years of service. He served in Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Panama Canal, and various Stateside Posts.
Military Award and Decorations include 1 Bronze Star for Valor and 2 for Meritorious Service, 2 Meritorious Service Medals, 2 Army Commendation Medals, 2 National Defense Service Medals, Germany Occupation Medal, Korea Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and Presidential Unit Citations, CIB,EIB, Expert Marksmanship Badge and 10 awards of Good Conduct Medal.
CSM Boyd is survived by his daughter Ilona Host, Grandson SSG Scott W. Davis Ret. and wife Kira Davis, Great Grandchildren SGT. Scott W. Davis Jr, A1C Alex Aleman, Joanne Henney, sisters Louise Hellickson and Shirley Davis and great great grandson Stefan Henney.

Mr. Johnson was born November 14, 1952, in Thomaston, GA to the late James Clyde Johnson and Lillian Marie Moore Jones.
Mr. Johnson was the owner and operator of Johnson Upholstery and was of the Pentecostal faith. 
Survivors include his wife, Debra Johnson of Thomaston, daughters, Amanda Johnson (James Yancey) of Thomaston and Pamela Johnson of Thomaston, brother, Tracy Johnson (Pat) of Thomaston, sister, Geraldine Johnson of Thomaston, seven grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob, Landen, Katelyn, Jasmine, Libby, and Harley Johnson
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jeff Johnson, brother, Billy Johnson, and sister, Janice Cleveland.
