MRS. MILDRED ROGERS SMITH

Mrs. Mildred Rogers Smith, age 78, of Thomaston, died Monday, October 30, 2017, at Riverside Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Smith was born August 2, 1939, in Upson County to the late Ira A. and Vester F. Rogers. She was a store clerk for Big Apple, and member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Smith. Survivors are her brothers, Everett (Margie) Rogers of Austell GA and Charles (Martha) Rogers of Marietta GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Smith may be made to Gideon's International, Thomaston Camp, P.O. Box 1034, Thomaston GA 30286.

MRS. ANN BANKS PASLEY FLETCHER

Mrs. Ann Banks Pasley Fletcher, 86, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October
25th, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fletcher will be held on Saturday, October 28th,
2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Barber
officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mrs.
Fletcher will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday from 5
until 7 PM.
Mrs. Fletcher was born in Thomaston on August 29th, 1931, to the late
Charles M. and Jewell Barron Pasley. She's was a 1948 graduate of R.E. Lee
Institute and a 1952 graduate of Wesleyan College. 
She and her husband, the late James H. "Jimmy" Fletcher, married in July of
1952 and made their home in Molena where she taught 4th and 5th grade at the
Molena School. They became active in Pasley Funeral Home in the middle
years of the 1950s. In 1960, their participation in the firm was validated
when the company name changed to Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. 
Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the First Baptist Church and served in the
nursery for a number of years. She was a member of the Welcome Sunday
School Class.
She was a former director on the board of the First Bank of Pike and was a
former director of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. She was a member of
the Green Thumb Garden Club and also enjoyed playing bridge.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by two sons, Jim (Jana) Fletcher of Flowery Branch
and Bob (Kyle) Fletcher of Thomaston; nine grandchildren, Ana Jane (Colby)
Shepherd, Jay (Jennifer) Fletcher, Banks Fletcher, Sam Fletcher, Ann Durand,
Russell Durand, Jr., Elisabeth Fletcher, Andrew Fletcher and Ashley Durand;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death
by her daughter, Laura Ann Fletcher Durand.
Contributions in memory of Mrs. Fletcher may be made to the First Baptist
Church Foundation, 208 South Church Street, Thomaston, GA 30286; or the
Eagle Ranch, P. O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502.

MR. JIMMY KENNETH ELLIS

Mr. Jimmy Kenneth Ellis age 69 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday October 19, 2017 at his residence. 

Mr. Ellis was born on January 12, 1948 in Americus Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Rachel Ellis.

Survivors include his step son Mr. Robert Fred Treece of Thomaston Ga.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday October 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.

MR. DOUGLAS MCARTHUR BRIDGES

Mr. Douglas McArthur Bridges, age 75, of Meansville Ga, died Friday, October 20, 2017, at his residence. 
Mr. Bridges was born on March 29, 1942, in Cordele Ga, to the late Jeff Bridges and the late Cora Harden Bridges. He worked as a supervisor with B.F. Goodrich Mills for many years. Mr. Bridges served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Mindy Anglin & Chase Anglin.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia Bridges of Meansville; daughters, Christy (Tim) Anglin of Meansville, Donna (Dexter) Hammond of Thomaston, and Paula (Larry) Watson of Meansville; sisters, Joanne Hewett of Thomaston, and Peggy (David) Holbrook of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Marsha Jackson, Lee Watson, Robby Watson, Jeffry Watson; and great-grandchild, Heather Jackson.

Memorial services for Mr. Bridges will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Prichett Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the Church.

MRS. SALEETA A. ROBERTS

Mrs. Saleeta A. Roberts, 78, of Thomaston died Sunday, October 15, at her
residence. Memorial services for Mrs. Roberts will be held Tuesday, October
17, at 11:00 AM, at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. The family will
receive friends from 10:00 until 1l:00 at the church. Those desiring may
make memorial contributions to First Baptist Church, 208 S. Church St.,

MR. RONALD JACKSON CARTER

Mr. Ronald Jackson Carter, 76 of Thomaston died Monday, October 16, 2017, at Upson Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Carter was born August 25, 1941, in Dodge County to the late Ray and Florence Berryhill Carter. He was a retired Truck Driver.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Higgs Carter. Survivors are his daughter, Toiee (Russell) Blount of Thomaston; sons, James Carter of Brownsville TX, and Rex (Lisa) Carter of Hiram GA; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. 

Private memorial services will be held for Mr. Carter at a later date.

The family has requested that memorial donations in honor of Mr. Carter be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, 2569 Jeff Davis Rd., Thomaston GA 30286.

MRS. JOYCE GRIER CHAMBERS

Mrs. Joyce Grier Chambers, age 47, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Chambers was born on August 30, 1970 in Thomaston Ga, to Jimmy Grier and Sandra Cagle Grier. She was a member of Pine Mountain Holiness Church in Meansville Ga.

Survivors include her husband Mr. William Anthony Chambers of Thomaston Ga, sons Mr. Alex Ellington of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Austin Ellington of Thomaston Ga, father Rev. Jimmy Grier of Thomaston Ga, mother Mrs. Sandra Cagle Grier of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Jenny Messer of Thomaston Ga, Ms. Nicki Yu of Atlanta Ga, Mrs. Doris (Venue) Kolluru of New York , uncle Mr. Eddie (Tina) Grier of Yatesville Ga, aunt Mrs. Linda Pasley of Thomaston Ga, great aunt Mrs. Sue Bailey of Thomaston Ga,  nephew Bodie Kolluru, niece Brittney Messer.

MR. ROSS REEVES

Mr. James Ross Reeves, age 81, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Reeves was born on February 23, 1936 in Crawford County Ga, to the late Wade Reeves and the late Lucile Moncrief Reeves. He owned and Operated the Garden Patch in Barnesville Ga. Mr. Reeves served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Mason and Shriner. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his brothers Lincoln Reeves, Russell Reeves, sister Neva Pryor, grandchild Larry Reeves.

Survivors include his daughter Mrs. Pam (Greg) Brock of Meansville Ga, son Mr. Mark Reeves of Morrow Ga, brothers Mr. Felton (Norma) Reeves of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Mack Reeves of Al, sisters Mrs. Judy (Ed) Turner of Griffin Ga, Mrs. Janice (Ricky) Smith of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Frances Kinlaw of Fl, grandchildren Jennifer (Keith) Clay, Courtney Brunelle, Brandi (Michael) Holmes, Cameron Reeves, 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday October 6, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Hardy Legg, age 82, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, October 3,
2017, at Riverside Health and Rehab. Funeral services for Mrs. Legg will be
held Friday, October 6, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral
Home. Burial will follow in the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church

Mrs. Florine Watson Harper, age 100, of Thomaston, died Sunday, October 1,
2017 at Riverside Health and Rehab. Funeral services for Mrs. Harper will
be held Friday, October 6, at 2:00 PM, at the First United Methodist Church
of Thomaston. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will
receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church on Friday from 1 until

MRS. BARBARA ANN PARTRIDGE

Mrs. Barbara Ann Partridge, age 81, of Thomaston, died Friday, September 29, 2017 at Providence Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Partridge was born August 30, 1936, in Upson County to the late, Leonard and Hilda Adams. She retired fro the William Carter Co. With 25 years of service, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her Husband William Richard Partridge; son, William Joe Moore; and sister, Linnie Ginn. Survivors are her son, Clayton (Angie) Moore; grandchildren, Brittany Moore, Chadwick Moore, Jonathan Moore, Joseph Moore, and Jeff Moore.

Graveside services fro Mrs. Partridge will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017, in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM.
