David T. Farley, Sr

David T. Farley, Sr., age 64, of Zebulon, passed away peacefully at home on July 9th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Trousdale County, Hartsville, TN on June 16, 1960, to the late Will T. Farley and the late Lillie Faye Eden Moore. He was the oldest of three children. He grew up in Tennessee, Kentucky, and settled in Griffin in the late 1970s. He would make one final move to Zebulon to start and raise his own family, for it was important to him for all of his children to “grow up in the same place.”

David was an electrician by trade and a “do-all” by any other definition. All of his children would receive his diligence, ethics and continuous drive, and for those that would follow in his footsteps, he gladly passed down his skillful knowledge. He was an avid deer hunter, lover of the outdoors and a wolf enthusiast; a wonder and a protector of all. It was always said that he would have lived outdoors and never in if not for his family. His family was his greatest accomplishment and admiration and surely his pride and joy!!!  As his family continued to grow, so did he, in always making sure that he was enough Dad, Papa and “Buddy” to go around! No matter how you came to be you knew you were loved and always his!

Along with his parents, he was preceded death by his sister, Debra Faye Farley, stepfather, Gene Moore, granddaughter, Madison Alyse Woods, and great- granddaughter, Ella Kate Drummond.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years: Tammy Michelle Graves Farley; 7 children: Crystal Lee (Ricky) Lundbald, William T. Farley, Timothy T. (Amanda) Farley, Jody Michelle Farley (finance Jeff Mcinvale), David T. (Katrina) Farley Jr., Jonathon E. Allen Farley, and Amanda Faye (Jeremy) Howell; 21 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; sister: Donna Kaye Moore (Tim Groves); and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Shelton officiating.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
