Mr. Heaton affectionately known as the "Bug Man" was born on September 30,1943 in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Rufus C. Heaton and the late Ruby Lee Cantrell Heaton. He worked for Pitts Pest Control and MEAD GA Craft and was member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in by his brother Felix Heaton.
Survivors include his wife Reba "Gwinette" Roberts Heaton of Thomaston, daughter, Dawn (Dan) Owens of Barnesville, brother, Donald (Diane) Heaton of North Georgia, sisters, Glenda Collins of Gray, Catherine (Freddie) Harp of Thomaston, grandchild, Nicole (Cody) Fordham, and great-grandchildren, Coen and Owen Fordham.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. from Clarks Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church.
