MR. JOSEPH A. "LITTLE JOE " WILSON

Mr. Joseph A. "Little Joe" Wilson age 62 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday November 27, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Wilson was born on July 17, 1952 in Lagrange Ga, to the late Joseph Wilson and the late Clara Short Wilson. He attended Family Worship Center and was self employed.
Survivors include his wife Susan Turner Wilson of Thomaston Ga, daughter Stephanie (Carl) Pierce of Dawsonville Ga, sons Joe (Aimee) Wilson of Dallas Ga, Jason (Carla) Fleming of Thomaston Ga, sister Joanne (J.C.) Knight of Thomaston Ga, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

MR. CHARLIE W. ADAIR

Mr. Charlie W. Adair, age 80 of Thomaston died Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Adair will be Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 2:00 PM graveside at Upson Memorial Gardens Cemetery. 
Mr. Adair was born February 25, 2019, in Pelham, GA to the late Conrad and Ora Lee Avant Adair. He was a member of Zions Chapel United Methodist Church and was retired from the Thomaston Mills as a supervisor with 40 plus years of service. 
Survivors include his wife, Claudia E. Adair of Thomaston, daughters, Angela Birdsong (Mike) of Thomaston and Susan Allen (Jimmy) of Thomaston
six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Adair was preceded in death by a grandchild, Brandon Charles Weaver, brother, Ray Adair and sisters, Newana Teal and Joyce Salter.

LTC (RET) JOE STEVEN BRODIE

LTC (Ret) Joe Steven Brodie, age 78 of Thomaston, GA died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
LTC Brodie, was born in Lynchburg VA to the late Dewey Clifford Brodie and Geneva Owen Brodie. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech in 1963. He was a member of the Highty Tighty Marching Band of the Corps of Cadets and a member of The Highlander Big Jazz Band. He was a Retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Retired from Thomaston Mills and Talon Corp, member of Thomaston First United Methodist Church, Past President of Thomaston Sertoma Club, Chairman of Greater Greensboro Open Golf Tour, Regional Director of Sertoma International, and recipient of many local awards.
He is survived by his wife, Clarice Brodie of Thomaston; daughters, Christin B. (David) King of Yorktown VA and Catherine B. (Dan) Escaro of South Elgin IL; brother, Dr. Owen (Patricia) Brodie of Richmond VA; grandchildren, Adam Brodie King, Anthony Reed King, Claire McKinley Escaro, Daniel Kent Escaro Jr., and Liliana Marie Escaro.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at 11:00 AM at The Thomaston First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Mrs. Betty Ruth Austin, 90, of Thomaston, died Friday evening, November 22,
at Riverside Health and Rehab.  Funeral services will be held on Monday,
November 25, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

MRS. MARY ANN JAMES MILLS

Mrs. Mary Ann James Mills, age 69, of Griffin (Pike County), passed away November 22, 2019, at her home.  Mary Ann was a jokester who loved to make people laugh.  She was always smiling.  She enjoyed shopping and giving to others.  Mary Ann loved life and especially family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Mills and her brother, Johnny James.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-n-law: Melissa and Brian Howerton of Zebulon and Holly and Harold Burnett of Griffin; grandchildren: Austin Howerton, Gracie Howerton, Lidia Archer, Kale Archer, Jade Burnett, and Paige Burnett; great-granddaughter: Khloe Scott; brother and sister-in-law: Ray and Virginia James of Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, November 25, 2-3 p.m., at the funeral home.  A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Ison officiating.

MR. NORRIS CECIL PIERCE JR.

Mr. Norris Cecil Pierce, Jr. 74 of Bulter, GA died November 21, 2019, at Taylor County Health and Rehabilitation in Butler. 
Mr. Pierce was born February 10, 1945, in Williams Port, MD to the late Norris Cecil and Doris Parrish Pierce, Sr. Mr. Pierce served in the United States National Guard and was a pastor and missionary for 18 years. He was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Pierce of Butler, daughters, Kerri Johnson of Knoxville, TN and Melissa Brimmer and her husband Dave, sons, James Bradford and his wife Leeann of Ladonia, AL and Michael Bradford and his wife Brandy of Smith Station, AL, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Evie Bright Wall age 76 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday November 20, 2019 at Harborview Health and Rehab. 
Mrs. Wall was born on February 10, 1943 in Wheeler County Ga, to the late Robert Tillman Bright and the late Elizabeth White Bright Buckholts. She was formerly employed with the Upson County School System where she worked as a teachers aid at the Pre K for many years. Mrs. Wall was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Robert Wall Sr., son Mr. Jeff Wall, brothers Mr. William Bryant Bright, Mr. Bobbie Dean Bright, Mr. Ronald Bright, sisters Mrs. Helen Cato Stanley, Mrs. Lavania Bright, Mrs. Vedia Todd, Mrs. Elizabeth Daniel.
Survivors include her sons Mr. Todd (April) Wall of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Dan (Anissa) Wall of Thomaston Ga, brothers Mr. Grover (Sybil) Bright, Mr. Randolph (Mary) Bright, sisters Mrs. Lilly McCoy, Mrs. Maryann (Chuck) Shumacher, grandchildren Sean (Shayleigh) Wall, SSG Andrew Dylan Collins, Chelsea Lee, Alia Collins, Cooper Wall, great grandchildren Mylah Jae Wall, Flynt Johnson, Oaklyn Wall.

MR. WALTER FREEMAN ALSOBROOKS JR.

Mr. Walter Freeman Alsobrooks Jr., of Peachtree City, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Alsobrooks was born August 23, 1933, in Thomaston to the late Walter Feerman Alsobrooks Sr and Lonie Daniel Alsobrooks. He retired from Delta with over 30 years of service, worked with Georgia Tech in maintence prior to Delta, Korean War U.S. Navy Veteran, and Mason (Lodge #288 Eastpoint).
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Ruffin Alsobrooks; sisters, Margie Brodnax, Catherine Majors, Marion Long, and Bessie Harp. Survivors are his numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Alsobrooks will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Dr. Henry Wilson Wright, age 75, of Molena, died Monday, November 18, 2019, at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.
Dr. Wright, was born October 16, 1944, in Presque Isle ME, to the late John Wright and Norma Wilson Wright. He was Sr Pastor and Founder of Hope of the Generations Church, Be In Health, and Acts Global.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife, Donna Wright of Molena; daughters, Sonya (Tim) Clabough of Corbin KY, Sarah (Scott) Harper of Thomaston, Elizabeth (Joseph) Fields of Thomaston, Ester (Matt) Wright of North Carolina, and Abigail Wright of Thomaston; sons, Mark (Josee) Wright of New Brunswick Canada, Henry (Dawn) Wright III of Seattle WA, Jonathan (Liz) Bowers of Arkansas, and Isaiah (LeSahwn) Bowers of Arkansas; 33 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Marvin Edward Suddeth, age 59, of Waverly Hall formerly of Thomaston, died Monday, November 18, 2019, at St Francis Hospital in Columbus.
Mr. Suddeth was born on June 14, 1960 in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Troy Edward Suddeth and Hazel Louise Turner Suddeth.  He is preceded in death by his father.

She was formerly employed with the William Carter Company where she worked as a manager in the Sewing Room. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandson Wesley Cummings.

Mr. John Milton Chapman age 91 of Thomaston Ga, died Saturday November 16, 2019 at Eternal Hope Hospice. 
Mr. Chapman was born on November 5, 1928 to the late John W. Chapman and the late Lula Pearl Chapman. He worked as a supervisor in the high rise department for B.F. Goodrich Mill for many years. Mr. Chapman was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church, and was also a Mason. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Avery Chapman and grandson Steve "Bud" Roland.
Survivors include his daughters Mrs. Lynn (Ronald) Adams of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Cathy (Deno) Trentman of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Marilyn (Jack) Barker of Forsyth Ga, Mrs. Martha Ruth Walker of Sylvester Ga.

Mr. Dan Haskell Carraway JR, age 64, of Williamson, died Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.
Mr. Carraway, was born June 22, 1955, in Upson County, to the late Dan Haskell Carraway SR and Margie Lowe Carraway. He was a farmer and member of the Thomaston Church of God.
He is survived by his daughter, Heidi (Mike Spinks) Prichett of Griffin; son, Dan Haskell Carraway III of Wrightsville; sisters, Terri (Wes) Mathews of Tolboton, Alva Turner of Williamson, and Donna (Bruce) Huey of Griffin; brother, Dennis (Melissa) Carraway of Columbus; grandchildren, Kamille Kenney, Kollin Kenney, Sophie Kenney, Kade Kenney, and Beau Kenney; grerat-grandchildren, Abel Kenney and Jack Kenney.

REV.DONALD KIRKLAND

Rev. Donald "Don" Kirkland age 84 of Thomaston Ga, died Monday November 4, 2019 at his residence. 
Rev. Kirkland was born on July 14, 1935 in Slocomb Al, to the late Roy Kirkland and the late Alline Golden Kirkland. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Rev. Kirkland loved aviation and flew thirty years in Africa for the International Mission Board. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church where he served as Associate Pastor for many years. Rev. Kirkland also served as Associate Pastor at Zion Baptist Church in Suches Ga.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Diane Kirkland of Thomaston Ga, daughters Mrs. Cindy Kirkland Cone of Pine Mountain Ga, Mrs. Sharon Kirkland (David) Timms of Pine Mountain Ga, step daughter Mrs. Teresa Hall Ponder of Lagrange Ga, step son Mr. Raymond (Michelle) Ponder of Suches Ga. 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren.

MRS. CAROLYN VIRGINIA LIFSEY

Mrs. Carolyn Virginia Lifsey, 70 of Thomaston, GA  died November 1, 2019 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon, GA.
Mrs. Lifsey was born on April 12, 1949 in Leeds Al, to the late James William Isbell and the late Doris Isbell Putman. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. Mrs. Lifsey was a member of Meansville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son Nathon Shane McLaughlin.
Survivors include her husband Chief Eddie Lifsey of Thomaston Ga, daughter Faith (Mitch) Adams of Thomaston Ga, sons Kelly Jay McLaughlin of Meansville Ga, Justin William McLaughlin of Thomaston Ga, James Warren (Zena) Lifsey of Thomaston Ga, brothers Larry (Lisa) Isbell of Rainbow City Al, Ronnie (Wendy) Isbell of Moody Al, Garry Isbell of Goldsboro N.C., 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.

Ms. Teresa Ford McKinley Johnson age 72 Thomaston Ga, died Friday November 1, 2019 at her residence.
Ms. Johnson was born on April 30, 1947 in Leesburg Fl, to the late Norman Bruce Ford and the late Georgia Belle Morris Ford. She worked as an LPN Hospice Nurse for many years. Ms. Johnson was a member of Thomaston Church of God. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters Norma King and Miriam Glover.
Survivors include her son Mr. Daniel (Tracy Emmons) McKinley of Thomaston Ga, special niece she considered a sister Mrs. Connie King Nossett of Thomaston Ga, loyal friend Doug Hall of Thomaston Ga.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday November 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Sunday November 3, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
