MR. MILTON BRITT DAVISON SR.

Mr. Milton Britt Davison Sr., age 85, of Thomaston GA, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Davison was born June 4, 1934, in Thomaston to the late James Alfred and Eva Mae Johnson Davison. He retired from the BF Goodrich's Martha Mills with 38 years of service and a member of Thomaston First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Davison; daughters, Susan Marshall and Mary (Dean) Thompson; son, Britt (Heather) Davison; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic the family will have a private graveside service.

Mrs. Lavon Robinson Mikell age 86 of Molena Ga, died Wednesday April 29, 2020 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Mikell was born on August 31, 1933 in Williston Fl, to the late Raymond Robinson and the late Beulah Hatch Robinson. She worked as a Word Processor for the University of Florida for many years. Mrs. Mikell was a member of Church of Christ and a life member of the NRA.

Survivors include her husband Mr. Richard D. Mikell Sr., daughters Lydia (Peter) Michaletti, Cynthia Mikell, sons Richard D. Mikell Jr., Joseph Mikell, brother Glenn Robinson, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

MR. MARVIN BEE EUBANKS

Mr. Marvin Bee Eubanks age 72 of Thomaston Ga, died Tuesday April 28, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Eubanks was born, October 12, 1947, in Sumter County, GA, to the late James Bright Eubanks and the late Sina Rae Holston Eubanks. He worked for Life of VA Insurance for 46 years as a Regional Manager. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include, his wife, Shirley Singletary Eubanks, daughter, Tori Lorraine Eubanks of Atlanta, brothers, Sonny (Donna) Eubanks of Griffin, Ray (Diane) Eubanks of Thomaston and Newton Eubanks of McDonough, sister-in-law Shirl (Marty) Blackston.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the family will have a private graveside memorial service.

Mrs. Eleanor Carol Jimmerson, age 85, of Thomaston, died Monday, April 27, 2020, at Riverside Health and Rehab.

A private graveside service will be held at Hendricks Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Jimmerson will lie in state at Fletcher-Day Funeral home for those who wish to have a private viewing time.

MR. MILLARD ARTHUR "BUDDY" TAYLOR

Mr. Millard Arthur "Buddy" Taylor age 92 of Thomaston passed away at his home on Sunday April 26, 2020.

Buddy was born on July 3, 1927 to the late Robert Samuel Taylor and the late Elia Katherine Tittle Taylor. He was raised by his mother and step father, H.E. Nolen. He had one sister, Mary Nell, who preceded him in death.

His military career included Merchant Marines (WWII 1944-1946) and the U.S. Army (Korean War 1950-1952. He is a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church and the Wade Bible Sunday School Class, as well as Morning Star Lodge # 27 F & A.M. for Masons. He was a Master Plumber/HVAC by trade 1953-1988.

Buddy is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo Philpott Taylor, and leaves behind to cherish his memory: daughters Emily Taylor Pitts and Carolyn Taylor. Grandchildren Matthew (Cathy) Pitts, Mia (Shane) McWilliams, and Marci Pitts Bull. great grandchildren Dakota Pitts, Matthew Pitts Jr., Mark Pitts, Mia Pitts, Taylor McWilliams, Sam McWilliams, Victoria Bull and Megan Bull, great great grandchild Nevaeh Brace McWilliams.

The family will meet at 1412 Yatesville Hwy Thomaston Ga. 30286.

MRS. BRENDA FAYE STRICKLAND PEARSON

Mrs. Brenda Faye Strickland Pearson, age 74 of Thomaston, GA, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.

Mrs. Pearson was born, March 27, 1946 in Wagner, FL, to the late Willard Gurney Strickland Sr. and the late Mildred Massey Strickland. She retired from Walmart as a Department Manager after 15 years, and was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bubba Strickland Jr. and sister Sylvia Reynolds.

Survivors include her husband, Richard E. Pearson Sr., sons, Richard (Lori) Pearson Jr. of Waycross, GA, Derric (Sharla) Pearson of Thomaston, daughters, Shani (Tim) Johnson of Thomaston, Christi (Jim) Daniel of Thomaston, brother, Larry (Amelia) Strickland of Sebastian, FL, sisters, Sandy Gore of Winter Park, FL, Glenda Kapinkin of Greenville, SC, 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pearson's wishes were to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.

VIRGINIA MANN REDDICK

Virginia Mann Reddick, 87, died Tuesday morning, April 21, 2020 in Brownsburg, Indiana following a short illness.

Mrs. Reddick was born September 28, 1932 in Sebring, Florida to the late Reverend and Mrs. Dewey Mann. Ginny, as she was known to family and friends, attended high school in Perry, Florida. She later married and spent many years to follow in Perry raising her children and enjoying being an important part of their active lives. She was a vibrant part of the community of Perry and a member of First Baptist Church. Ginny later moved to Tallahassee, Florida where she worked for the Department of Tourism for the State of Florida.

Later in life Ginny married Ralph Reddick, her high school sweetheart, spending her life with Ralph until his death in Thomaston, Georgia. While in Thomaston, Ginny’s life revolved around her husband, her church, Thomaston United Methodist, and their families.

Ginny enjoyed baking, gardening, singing, traveling and reading. She always brought life and light into every room she entered. She was also known for her divinity candy at Christmas, as well as her pound cakes. Though far apart, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Helen Mann Register, Betty Mann Hughes and her cousin Nelda Mann Tarcai over her lifetime. In her later years, she became a resident of the Magnolia Manor Retirement Community in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, where she was a joy to all who knew her. Ginny’s love of life and her bright smile will be missed by all.

She is survived by her daughter, Sally Ann Greene Williams, from Evansville, Indiana, her son, Ralph James Greene (Buzz) from Thomasville, Georgia, her sisters Helen Register, in South Carolina, Betty Hughes, in Florida, and four nieces, and one nephew.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend and Mrs. Dewey Mann and her husband, Ralph Reddick.

Services for Ginny will be announced at a later date with a graveside service in Perry, Florida, where her ashes will be buried next to her parents.

GENEVA GRAY LINDSAY (GREENE) ADAMS

Geneva Gray Lindsay (Greene) Adams , 82, wife for 42 years of the late Robert Leon Adams, passed away at Riverside Health & Rehab on April 26, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and faithful Riverside caregivers and with support of the staff of Thomaston Hospice.

Geneva was born in Newton Grove, Sampson County, NC, to the late Egbert Newton Lindsay and the late Ida Mae Sutton Lindsay. After her mother died, she was raised from the age of 2 by her new Mama, the late Mary Belle Marshburn Lindsay.

Geneva attended Piney Grove School in Newton Grove, NC. She attended her senior year of high school and one year of college at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. She worked in Atlanta for a year. Her roommate in Atlanta, Yvonne, was from Barnesville, GA. Geneva met her first husband, Mountain A. Greene, on a weekend visit to Barnesville. They were married from 1957-1974.

Geneva was known for her love for her Lord Jesus Christ and her family. She was a gifted seamstress and crafter. She loved planting flowers and spending time with her family. She loved and appreciated beautiful and bright colors. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Geneva was a Stanley Home Products distributor for a number of years. She was a dental assistant with Dr. Jay Davis, DDS in Thomaston, before she co-owned and operated a Big Chic in Covington, GA, with her husband Leon.

Geneva was also preceded in death by her father-in-law & mother-in-law Robert & Eunice Adams and sisters: Minnie Grace Lindsay Barwick, Lena Mae Lindsay, Ethel Oletta Lindsay, & Edith Edna Lindsay Jones and her brothers: Joseph Cornelius Lindsay, Newton Elmon Lindsay, Jesse Lee Lindsay, & Mitchell Keith Lindsay.

She is survived by her children, April Dawn Greene Lowry(Tom), Tina Lisa Greene Coker (Sammy), Tangi Dianne Adams, Lance Colton Greene (Dana), and Yodie Selina Greene Ellerbee (Barry).

Also she is survived by her siblings, James Franklin Lindsay (Velva), Joan Readling Woods (Otto), Emerson Glenn Lindsay, Emma Doris Lindsay Wade (Earle), Judy Carol Lindsay Lewis (Marshalle), and sister in law Hilda Lindsay.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Leland Adams (Debbie)and sister-in-law Susan Adams Fain(Roy).

She is survived by her grandchildren: Samuel William "Sam" Coker, Jr.(Callie), Seth Mountain Coker(Mary Ann), Jared Potter, Rebekah Dawn Lowry Epting (J.T.), William Barry "Will" Ellerbee (Kassidy), Philip Thomas Lowry (Caralee), Weston Don "Wes" Ellerbee, Mountain Asher Greene, and Colton Keith Greene.

Her great grandchildren: Marlie Kelly, Maizy Kelly, Harper Jae Potter, Knox Mountain Coker, Caroline Ann Coker, and Rosia Evangeline Epting. A seventh great grandchild is due in August 2020.

Numerous cousins, nieces, & nephews.

Private graveside service will be held Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2020. Dr. Rex King officiating. At a later date we will have a celebration of life service at Mountain View Baptist Church (in the summer), so that all her friends and family can be a part.

James Ezra Cox, II age 73, of Marietta, Georgia passed away April 25, 2020. Private Graveside Service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Upson Memorial Gardens in Thomaston, GA and at a later date a memorial service will be held for all family and friends to celebrate Jim's life when we feel it is safe to gather. He was preceded in death by his parents James E. Cox, Sr. and Sara Ellington Cox and sister Joyce Cook.

James was a native of Thomaston, GA where he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. He then graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree. He retired from Delta Airlines after 31 years and then retiring from the City of Smyrna after 15 years service. He was a member of McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church in Powder Springs, GA. He was a member of the Yarrab Shrine, Yarrab Red Devil Clown Unit, and Southeast Shrine Clown Association.

Survivors include: wife of 34 years Donna Cox of Marietta, GA; son: Jay (Tamara) Cox of Douglasville, GA; seven grandchildren: Dylan Cox, Grace Cox, Sara Cox, Trevor Melton, Hannah Bourquardez, Keller Mallins and Savannah Bourquardez; two nephews, one niece and their children.

Mr. Bentley Taylor McGuire, age 27, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at his residence in Thomaston.

Mr. McGuire was born January 11, 1993, in Warner Robbins, to Oscar Bentley and Katy Taylor McGuire. He was a sales representative for GA Poultry and member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Meghan McGuire; daughter, Karter Jane McGuire; son, Asa Taylor McGuire; mother and father, Oscar and Katy McGuire; mother-in-law, Donna Trussell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Buddy Bell.

Mr. Frank Lamar Wheeless, age 78, of Thomaston, GA, died Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Wheeless was born, July 12, 1941, in Thomaston, GA, to the late Milwood Wheeless and the late Flossie Mae Paige Wheeless. He worked for the Upson County Road Department and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Frances Juanita Gassett Wheeless.

He is survived by his daughters, Tonya (Tim) Ellis, Sonya (Mike) Birdsong, Stacy Wheeless, brothers, Edward Wheeless, Bill Wheeless, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Terry Lamar Lee, age 62, of Thomaston, died Monday, April 13, 2020, at Providence Nursing Home in Thomaston, Georgia.

Mr. Lee was of the Baptist Faith and served his country in US Navy. He is preceded in death by his step father, Mr. Charles Parkerson.

Mr. Lee is survived by his mother, Betty Parkerson of Thomaston, two sisters, Mrs. Linda (Tony) Murphy and Mrs. Wilma (William) Heard, both of Thomaston, one niece, Meagan (Wesley) Beach of Yatesville and two nephews, Brian (Kayla) Wheeless and Scott Wheeless, both of Thomaston.

Mr. Childs was born July 25, 1931, in Thomaston, to the late George Douglas Childs and Lois Salter Chillds. He was a retired Supply Company Salesman, U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mason, and member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Willis Childs. Survivors are his sons, George Douglas (Patty) Childs, Chuck (Lisa) Childs, James Bryant (Pat) Childs, and Phillip Benajmin Cillds; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mr. James Thomas " J T " Brown, age 46, of Thomaston, died Sunday, April 5, 2020, in Cumming GA.

Mr. Brown was born June 11, 1973, in Thomaston to the late Thomas Bryant Brown Sr. and Hazel Rogers Bethune. He was a heavy equipment operator and member of New Harmony Baptist Church.

Mr. Marion Frederick "Fred" Trice Jr., age 87 of Thomaston Ga, died Saturday April 4, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Trice was born on July 6, 1932 to the late Marion Frederick Trice Sr., and the late Vada Lee Trice. He worked as a painter for many years. Mr. Trice served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War stationed in Japan. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

MR. WILLIAM ROBERT "BILL" HAEGE,SR.

Mr. William Robert "Bill" Haege, Sr. 74 of Thomaston died April 2, 2020, at Upson Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Haege was born on October 31, 1945, in Clinton, IA to the late Walter and Eloise Richeson Haege. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, attended The Gathering Church and worked in the grocery business as a produce manager. 
Mr. Haege was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carolyn Jane Gendron Haege.
Survivors include his daughters, Christine Rogers of Thomaston and Carrie Adams of NY, son, William Robert "Bill" Haege, Jr. of Thomaston, sisters, Nancy Haege and Linda Lodge both of Texas, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
