Kenneth Fountain

Mr. Kenneth Fountain, age 89 of Thomaston, died Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.

Mr. Fountain was born on March 30, 1935, in Nashville, Georgia, to the late Lee Maxwell Fountain, and the late Alice Cook Fountain.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and later retired from Flavo-rich Dairy after 42 years as a supervisor.  He was member of Emorys Chapel Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sydney Geraldine Forehand Fountain, daughter, Karen Harris, brother, Lee Maxwell Fountain Jr., sisters, Frances Lively, Hazel Pafford, Carolyn Larriviere, grandchild, Brandon Fountain, and great-grandchild, Dayne Lowry.

Survivors include his, daughter, Cindy (Russ) McGee of Thomaston, sons, Lee (Wanda) Fountain of Thomaston, Jason (Kimberly) Fountain of Thomaston, grandchildren, Wayne Lowry, Kelly Lowry, Jenna Hutchens, Kayla M. Thompson, Kyle McGee, Leann Odom, Shane Fountain, Kason Fountain, Paige Aultman, and 13 great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 9:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
