Jackie Dianne Burkett

Mrs. Jackie Dianne Burkett, age 70, of Warner Robins, formerly of Thomaston, died Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her residence.

Funeral services for Mrs. Burkett will be held Wednesday, January 31, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Pastor Jereme Chaney will officiate, and interment will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burkett was born in Thomaston on April 5, 1953, a daughter of the late Ralph Gross and the late Margie "Jackie" Cassidy. She attended R.E. Lee Institute and was a graduate of Upson Technical College with an associates degree in accounting. She retired as an administrative assistant in accounting from the Georgia Department of Transportation. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Burkett loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Burkett is survived by her sons, Darrell (Leslie) Burkett of Warner Robins, Jason (Melissa Stillwell) Burkett of Thomaston, and Charles (Sandy) Burkett of Thomaston; her sister, Connie (Bill) Hooper of Thomaston; her brothers, Jerry (Robin) Gross of Thomaston, and Terry (Dana) Gross; her grandchildren, Darren Burkett, Baleigh Burkett Fleming, Paige Kenway, Corey Burkett, and Heather Wallace. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burkett was preceded in death by her husband Randolph "Randy" Burkett and her brother, Jimmy Ralph Gross.
