Fannie Jewel Simmons Cleveland

Mrs. Fannie Jewel Simmons Cleveland, age 80, of Thomaston, died Sunday, January 14, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Cleveland was born on December 10, 1943, Beuna Vista, Georgia, to the late John W. Simmons and the late Jewel McDaniel Simmons.  She worked for the Upson County School Board and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Cleveland and several brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Fannie was one of eleven children.

 

Survivors include her husband, Carl "Red" Cleveland of Thomaston, daughters, Darlene (Stan) Johnson, Carlene (Kel) Anderson, Marie (Adam) Keadle, Wanda (Craig) Sanders, brothers, Ricky (Christi) Simmons, Floyd Simmons, John Phillip (Robin) Simmons, sisters, Mary Francis, Lula Mae, grandchildren, Drew (Hannah White) Johnson, Brooke (Alex) Oglesbee, Melissa (Dusty) Poteat, Chase (Jessika) Johnson, Jacob (Erica Whitaker) Keadle, Dalton (Kimberly) Elder, great-grandchildren, Brantley, Bentley, Annie, Remington, and Brentson.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. from Shiloh Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church.  

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shiloh Baptist Church at 2737 Hwy 19 N Thomaston, Georgia 30286.
