Mr. Perry was born on November 14, 1930, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Jarvis and Ruby Wilburn Perry. Mr. Perry achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He served his country with 4 years in the U.S. Navy and 16 years in the U.S. Air Force and is a veteran of 3 wars/conflicts (WWII, Korean War, Vietnam conflict). He worked as head of Maintenance for the Thomaston Housing Authority before retiring. Mr. Perry was a member of Christ Chapel Church and a devout believer in the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jarvis and Ruby Wilburn Perry, and 5 siblings. He is survived by his wife Alice Fay Perry, children Drs. Cathy (Jim) Jones, Mrs. Karen (Kenny) Harris, Mr. Alan (Carol) Perry, Mr. Ted (Carol) Perry, 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 30, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
