Mr. Jones was born on August 7, 1933 in Jones County North Carolina to the late Paul Jones and the late Mae Coombs Jones. He owned and operated Manchester Auto Supply for many years. Mr. Jones served his country in the U.S. Army and later served in the Navy Reserves. He was a member of Thomaston First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and was a life time member of the American Legion Post 81.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Bobbie Sue Jones of Thomaston Ga, daughter Mrs. Lynn Jones (Gregory) Daniel- Thomaston Ga, son Mr. Mike (Susie) Jones of Thomaston Ga, grandchildren Tim (Ashley) Jones of Griffin Ga, step grandchildren Kathleen Nicholson (Bryan Richardson) Eubanks of Griffin Ga, Joshua David Nicholson of Thomaston Ga, step great grandchildren Liam Nicholson, Blaine Richardson, Eli Eubanks, Allison Wyatt, Grant Wyatt.
Graveside Services willl be held on Sunday September 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from Crystal Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Thomaston First Presbyterian Church Men of the Church fund at 403 Birdsong St. Thomaston Ga. 30286.
