Brandy Machelle Batchelor

Brandy Machelle Batchelor, age 44, of Meansville, passed away May 21, 2024.  Brandy grew up in Molena and graduated from Pike County High School in 1998. She earned her degree in Radiologic Technology from Griffin Technical College. She began her medical career at Upson Regional Hospital and then worked for Family Medical Center in Griffin, and Family Medical Clinic in McDonough. She was currently working at Upson Family Medical Center Northside as an office manager/x-ray technician.  Brandy was a people person and it showed in everything she did. She loved her job because it gave her the opportunity to serve and take care of others. She was an active member of Christ Chapel Church in Zebulon. She loved the beach, Dilly Bars and she always had a cup with her.

Brandy always looked forward to spending time at their family farm, Red-Tip Farms in Meansville, where they sell berries and vegetables. She never missed a chance to rock a baby or love on children who came with their families to the farm. Brandy will always be remembered for her love of life and her passion for serving others.   

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Hindmon, grandparents, Wiley and Virginia Hindmon, and Mary and W. V. Dixon; grandparents-in-law, Albert and Clarice Batchelor and Raymond and Elizabeth Fussell.

 

She is survived by her high school sweetheart: Terry Paul Batchelor; children: Hailey Machelle Batchelor and Elijah Kane Batchelor; mother: Mary Helen Olive (Jerry); sister: Jessica Turcotte (Monica); father-in-law and mother-in-law:  Paul and Shirley Batchelor; sister-in-law: Tonya Taylor (Greg); nephews and a niece: Lee and Caleb Henderson and Zoey Turcotte; aunts and uncles: Adrian and Gary Masingill, Joe and Cheryl Murphy, and Edward and Debra Murphy.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, 3 p.m., at Christ Chapel Church.  Pastor Billy Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

 

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the church.
