Bennie Leon Loggins

Mr. Bennie Leon Loggins, age 77, of Meansville, passed away May 25, 2024.  He was born in Commerce, GA, son of the late Bennie Duncan Loggins and Helen Elizabeth Copper Loggins.  For most of his life Leon was a painting contractor. He was Vice President of Biscayne Painting in Florida for many years. Leon was a kind and generous man who loved God and people. He was proud of his Cherokee Indian Heritage and enjoyed living the southern life, making his own wine, traveling, hunting, fishing, and gardening.  In his younger years, he enjoyed photography and bowling. He was an avid reader and a history buff.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Wallace Loggins and Michael David “Mickey” Loggins and brother-in-law: Ellison Brannon.

 

He is survived by his wife: Diane Loggins; children: Tammy Lynn Gobbi (Chuck), Thomas Leon Loggins (Angie), Timothy Lee Loggins (Tiffany), and Misty Chloe Loggins; grandchildren: Michael Barile, Amanda Loggins, Matthew Gobbi, Leon Loggins, Ali Loggings, and Cooper Loggins; two great-grandchildren: Eric Gordan and Jaylen Gordon; sister: Becky Brannon; brother: Samuel Loggins (Renee); many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 20204, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Moody-Memorial Gardens.

 

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
