MRS. MARY L. HOGAN

Mrs. Mary L. Hogan, 90, formerly of 601 Peachtree Drive in Thomaston, died
Thursday, January 16, 2010, at River Place in Forsyth, GA.  Mrs. Hogan was a
long-time teacher in the Thomaston City School System, and she later
supervised student teachers at Tift College of Mercer University and Gordon
College.  She was the first female elected to serve on the Thomaston City
Council and served as a Spanish translator for the City until she was well
into her eighties. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral
Home Sunday evening, January 19, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM.  In lieu of
flowers, the family requests that  memorial contributions be made to St.
Jude's Children's Hospital, St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
