MR. WILLIAM GLYNN BROOKS

Mr. William Glynn Brooks, age 78, of Thomaston died Friday, January 3, 2020, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Brooks was born December 20, 1941, in Thomaston to the late William Beecher Brooks and Lucile Thompson Brooks. He retired from BF Goodrich's Martha Mills Weave Shop and City of Thomaston Maintenance Department and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Brooks of Thomaston; daughter, Wendy (Todd) Chambley of Thomaston; sister, Carol (Mike) Compton of Thomaston; brother, Vance (Lynn) Brooks of Thomaston; and grandson, William Tyler Pinks. He is preceded in death by his sister, Doris Ellington McCarty; and brother, Beecher Eugene Brooks.

Funeral services for Mr. Brooks will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home with burial to follow in Upson Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 6, 2020 form 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
