Mr. James Bobby Adams 89, of Thomaston died February 2, 2019 at Harborview Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements to be announced by Coggins Funeral Home

MR. JERRY L. LINDSEY SR,

Mr. Jerry L. Lindsey, Sr., age 85, of Thomaston, died Sunday, February 3, at
Riverside Health and Rehab.  Funeral services for Mr. Lindsey will be held
Tuesday, February 5, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in South View Cemetery.  The family will receive friends
Tuesday, from 1 until 2 PM, at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.  Those desiring
may make memorial contributions to Thomaston Hospice, 512 South Church St.,
Thomaston, GA  30286.  Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all

MR. RAY CREWS

Mr. Ray Crews, 72 of Thomaston died February 3, 2019 at his residence.
A graveside service will be Friday February 8, 2019 2:00 PM at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service  at Coggins Funeral Home.
Mr. Crews was born May 5, 1946 in Thomaston to the late Royal Edward and Inez O'Neal Crews. Mr. Crews was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church, worked for Wm. Carter Co. and served in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patricia Taylor Moss and his brothers, Ed Crews and Joe Crews.
Survivors include his daughters, Christy Crews of Nashville, TN and Raylynn Crews of Thomaston, sister, Donna Wheeless of Thomaston and numerous nieces and nephews.

MRS .MYRTICE THELMA HENDRICKS CLARK

Mrs. Myrtice Thelma Hendricks Clark 89 of Thomaston died January 31, 2019 at Riverside Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Clark was born on May 3, 1929 in Talbot County GA, to the late Roy Owens Bassett and the late Katie Bell Jones Bassett. She was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church. Mrs. Clark was formerly employed with The William Carter Company where she worked for 25 years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands Johnnie Hendricks, James Clark and son Wayne Hendricks.
Survivors include her grandson Mr. Josh (Shelley) Hendricks of Thomaston GA, 1 sister, Lois Johnson of South Carolina, great grandchildren Evan Wayne Hendricks & Elizabeth Ann Hendricks.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday February 3, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Sunday February 3, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

MRS. BONNIE TRUETT HUTTO

Mrs. Bonnie Truett Hutto, age 76 of Thomaston GA, died Tuesday January 29, 2019 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor both Mr. and Mrs. James Jefferson Hutto will be Sunday February 3, 2019 2:00 PM in The Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hutto was born July 20, 1942 in Randolph Co. AL to the late Joel Alfred and Lulla Estelle Griffin Hutto. She worked in the weave room at BF Goodrich Co. and was a member Smyrna Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hutto was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Jefferson Hutto who died April 27, 2017 and her sister, Elsie Hale.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra H. Johnson and her husband Randy of Thomaston and her son, James A. Hutto (Eddie Pruett) of Macon, brothers, Henry E. Truett of Folson, LA and Bobby Ray Truett of Griffin, sister, Annie Ruth Creamer of Manchester, grandchild, Amanda Diane Johnson and three great grandchildren, Alexis Nichole Johnson, Jacob Tanner Johnson and Landen Elijah Johnson.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at Coggins Funeral Home.

Mr. Richard "Bubba" Portwood age 37 of Thomaston Ga, died Saturday January 26, 2019 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia. 
Mr. Portwood was born on March 18, 1981 in Thomaston Ga, to Roger and Cindy Portwood. He worked as a Welder for GMH in Barnesville Ga. He is preceded in death by his brothers Robert Portwood and Jason "Fat Head" Carter.
Survivors include his parents Roger and Cindy Portwood of Thomaston Ga, daughters Aliza Welch of Greenville Ga, Skyllar Portwood of Thomaston Ga, Cathryn Portwood of Thomaston Ga, son Robert Portwood of Thomaston Ga, brother Brandon Tucker of Hampton Ga, sister Alicia (Downey) Poteat of Thomaston Ga,

Mr. Billy G. Owsley, 51, of Thomaston, died Thursday, January 24th, 2019 at
Upson Regional Medical Center. 
Funeral services for Mr. Owsley will be held on Monday, January 28th, 2019
at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Burial will
follow in South View Cemetery.

MRS. FRANCES WHATLEY ADAMS

Mrs. Frances Whatley Adams age 92 of Woodbury Ga, formally of Thomaston Ga,  died Thursday January 24, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House. 
Mrs. Adams was born on July 2, 1926 in Blakely Ga, to the late Thomas F. Whatley Sr., and the late Millie Lee Dukes Whatley. She was formerly employed with Upson County Hospital where she worked as an O.R. Nurse for many years. Mrs. Adams was a member of First Assembly of God. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William Adams Sr., son William "Billy" Adams Jr., grandchild Faith Adams.
Survivors include her son Mr. Brian (Jeanie) Adams of Woodbury Ga, 6 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 28, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. from First Assembly of God.Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at First Assembly of God from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Christopher Handley age 56 of Thomaston Ga, died Friday January 25, 2019 at his residence. 
Mr. Handley was born on November 2, 1962 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Arthur Handley and the late Lura Tomberlin Handley. He was a member of Grace Point Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Mrs. Judy Nixon.
Survivors include his nieces Amanda Nixon of Thomaston Ga, Kelli Nixon of Thomaston Ga.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday January 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home following the service.

Mr. Mathew Vance  McAlum age 32 of Thomaston GA, died Thursday January 24, 2019 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Funeral services will be Sunday January 27, 2019 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. 
Mathew was born September 24, 1986 in Sumter Co., GA to Bobby Vance and Rachel Dawn Nixon McAlum. He was a Supervising Contractor with Michael Anthony Construction and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Lynne McAlum of Thomaston, daughters, Emma McAlum, Alyssa Jones and Audrey McAlum, sons, Raden and Mason McAlum, brothers, Nicholas Bon Pergola of Americus, Jack Bliss and his wife April of Warner Robins, Justin Walton and his wife Tiffany of Americus, sisters, Tiffni Holley and her husband Ronnie of Americus and Sarah Pergola of Georgia, nieces, Khloe Pergola and Summer Rose Holley, Nephew, Edward Lee Holley, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
