Melvin Stanley Langley

Mr. Melvin Stanley Langley age 73, of Zebulon, passed away September 5, 2024, at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin. Stanley was a life-long resident of Pike County. He worked in maintenance at Holan Manufacturing and Georgia Industries for the Blind in Griffin for many years. Stanley enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales with his mother and in his younger years he liked to fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cennie Frances Lynch Langley and Melvin Langley, sisters, Linda Hale, Christine Daugherty, Annette McKissick and husband Donald, and nephew, Naethen Daugherty.

 

He is survived by his brothers-in-law: Tommy Hale and Leonard Daugherty; nephews and nieces: David Hale (Pinky), Kevin Hale, Keith Daugherty (Brandi), Rodney Daugherty, Tony McKissick, Debbie Weason, and Janice Sawyer; great-nieces and great-nephews: Brittney, Amber, Dylan, Everett, Kyle, Tamara, Faith, Stephen, Amanda and Michael.

 

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, September 8, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m., in Moody Memorial Gardens.
