Mr. Alton Herron Cook age 79 of Thomaston Ga., passed away Friday October 8, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Cook was born on April 13, 1942, in Upson County to the late  Albert Herron Cook and the late Mary Jane Hammock Cook.  He worked at the Martha Mills for 42 years and attended Mountain View Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Jean Cook, and Eleanor Helga Matthews.

Survivors include his wife Imogene Cook of Thomaston, daughter, Karen (Todd) Lowe of Thomaston, son, Larry Alan (Bobbi) Lowe of Woodbury, sister, Sybil Ann Hammock of Thomaston, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from Mountain View Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m..  Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
