BETTY LEE YOUNGBLOOD JORDAN

 Betty Lee Youngblood Jordan, was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on July 28, 1929, to the late Leonard Spencer Youngblood, and Ruth Lee Parker Youngblood.  She passed away after a brief illness on October 26, 2021 at West Village in Thomaston, Georgia.

Ms. Betty met and married James Daniel "Dan" Jordan in Gastonia, North Carolina.  They married on May 24, 1950, and were married for fifty-four years.  After living in several states, they moved to Thomaston in September 1964, to own and operate Dan and Ann's Cafeteria.  After closing the cafeteria, Ms. Betty went to work at Marvin Adam's Grocery as a cashier for many years.  She later worked at the Bleachery Division of Thomaston Mills until her retirement.

Ms. Betty is best known for her loving and devoted services as a Pink Lady at Upson Regional Medical Center.  Ms. Betty and Mr. Dan drove many patients for care in the cancer car for many years.  She was a member of Thomaston First United Methodist Church and served in many capacities there.  She taught her own children to love God and Community.

Ms. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel "Dan" Jordan, brother, Leonard Spencer Youngblood Jr., sister, Ann Youngblood Kellam and son-in-law, William D. "Buddy" Cobb.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha Ann Jordan Cobb, son, Patrick David (Jonathan) Jordan, grandchildren; William Russ (Sykora) Cobb of St. Marys, GA., Capt. David Adam (Olivia) Jordan of Fayetteville, NC., and Hayden Thomas (Cassidy Harris) of Chattanooga, TN., great-grandchildren, Liliana Renee and Lance William Cobb of St. Marys, GA., and Bennett James Jordan of Fayetteville, NC.

Funeral services will held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from Thomaston First United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Thomaston United Methodist Church.

The family of Ms. Jordan would like to the thank the employees of Southern Grace Hospice and West Village for their kindness and all they did for Ms. Betty.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Pink Lady Auxiliary of URMC at 801 West Gordon St. Thomaston, GA 30286.
