Mrs. Carol Frances Davis Randall

Mrs. Carol Frances Davis Randall, age 90, of Zebulon, passed away July 15, 2022, at her home. She was born in the Toccoa, Georgia area, daughter of the late Wimpy Samuel Davis and Mary Frances “Doll” Fricks Davis. Carol began her career at Rexall Drugs in Atlanta. She met and married Melvin Randall on May 14, 1961, and then became a homemaker. She returned to work at Hampton Elementary in the school cafeteria when her daughter, Nancy, started school. She worked there until her retirement. Carol was a long-time member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Hampton where she helped wherever there was a need. She was dedicated to learning and living out God’s truth. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Carol enjoyed trips with friends and family, cooking, sewing, and crafting. As her eye-site began to fail, she started listening to preaching on CD and tapes.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Randall, her siblings: Clyde Davis, Ruby Davis Fricks, Hershel Davis, Leroy Cash and Edwin Davis.

She is survived by her daughter: Nancy Annette Goodman (Lee Goodman); grandchildren: Chris Goodman and Samantha Skidmore (Ronald Skidmore); great-grandchildren: McKaylee Goodman, Ryleigh Skidmore, Abbigail Skidmore and Maddison Skidmore; sister: Annette Davis Blackburn; and lots of extended family, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, at 1:00 p.m., in Liberty Hill Baptist Church, 2957 Mt. Carmel Road, Hampton. Mr. Darrell Johnson and Kelly DeJarnett will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Monday, July 18, from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., at the church.

Reatha Elaine Snider Feather

 

Reatha Elaine Snider Feather, age 68, of Meansville, passed away July 11, 2022.  She was born in Summerville, GA, and grew up in the Piedmont Park and Little Five Points area in Atlanta. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Snider and Gladys Scott. Reatha worked for Eastman Kodak in Chamblee for more than 15 years. She moved to the Thomaston area in 1995. Reatha was funny and liked to talk, laugh, make others laugh and take care of her family. She enjoyed eating Martha’s biscuits and gravy and pulling weeds. Reatha was always positive, touched so many lives, and had an amazing infectious laugh and a smile that would light up a room. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Feather, brothers, Billy Snider, Otto Evans and her sister, Linda Bennett.

She is survived by her pride and joy, her daughter: Angie Webb and husband Eric; great-granddaughter: Brooklyn; former husband and wife-in-law: Butch and Martha Bishop; sisters: Juanita Black and Marie Cofer; her grandpuppies: Diesel and Rio; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, July 15, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 16, at 2 p.m., at her daughter’s home in Meansville.

 Mr. Thomas Rubyn Eubanks, Sr., 92, of Thomaston, died Friday, July 8, 2022,

 Mr. Hubert Lee Ralston, Jr., age 80, of Thomaston, died Thursday, July 7,

MR. MILTON HITSON

 Mr. Milton Hitson, age 80 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Tuesday June 21, 2022, at Eternal Hope Hospice.

Mr. Hitson was born on December 27, 1941, in Pope City, Georgia, to the late Milton Russell Hitson, and the late Josephine Sanders Hitson.  He earned a Masters Degree in Physical Education.  He worked at Upson-Lee for 22 years as a football and basketball coach, and was a member of Christ Chapel Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Patti Lynch Hitson of Thomaston, daughter, Tangi Compton of Barnesville, son Jeremy (Jennifer) Compton of Thomaston, brothers, Romey (Debbie) Hitson of Forsyth, Edward “Skipper” (Karen) Parker of Thomaston, and grandchild, Anna Jayne Compton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Christ Chapel Church. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Christ Chapel Church.

 Martha Louisa Mullins Brewton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June

with Rev. Ted Kandler officiating.  The family will receive friends and

MRS. CAROLYN ARNOLD MCDANIEL GILL

 Mrs. Carolyn Arnold McDaniel Gill age 80 of The Rock, GA, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Grady Hospital.

Funeral services will Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Jason Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Gill was born November 11, 1941, in Troup Co., GA to the late Willie Frank and Maude Buttrum Arnold. She was retired from both BF Goodrich with 10 years of service and Goodys with 18 years of service. Mrs. Gill was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Roy McDaniel, brothers, Gene, Darrell, Edward, and Tink Arnold, sister, Francis Ellerbee, and a great-grandson.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Gill of The Rock, daughters, Diane Stevenson (A.J.) of Thomaston, Debra Elaine McDaniel of Newnan and Donna Michelle Swails (Roy) of Thomaston, son, Roy David McDaniel of Thomaston, step-sons, Samuel D. Gill, Jr. of Molena and Thomas Bryan Gill of The Rock, sister-in-law, Dorothy Arnold of Milledgeville, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

 Mrs. Geraldine Smith Walker, age 88, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, May 31,

2022, at her residence.
