Mr. Phillip C. Harris age 66 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday April 10, 2019 at his residence. 

Mr. Harris was born on July 27, 1952 in Thomaston Ga, to the late William Charles Harris and the late Thelma Knight Harris. He worked for the Upson County Road Department for many years. Mr. Harris was an avid Georgia Tech and sports fan.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Vickie Harris of Thomaston Ga, sons Mr. David (Karen) Green of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Phillip Neal Dickerson of Morgan Ga, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brothers Mr. Cal (Brenda) Harris of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Randy (Sandy) Harris of Milner Ga.

Kyle James Spraggins of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday April 10, 2019.

Kyle was born on November 15, 1991 in Thomaston Ga, to Peter James "Bubba" Spraggins and Amanda Shumate Green. He is preceded in death by great grandparents Laura Shumate, Jackie Barfield, Mary Becerra, Jack Reynolds, Nell Reynolds.

Survivors include his father Mr. Peter James "Bubba" Spraggins of Thomaston Ga, mother Mrs. Amanda (Johnny) Green of Meansville Ga, paternal grandparents Mr. Frank (Brenda) Spraggins of Thomaston Ga, maternal grandparents Mr. Jerry (Patricia) Royal of Thomaston Ga, step grandparents Mr. John (Pat) Green of Meansville Ga, paternal great grandfather CSM (Ret) Peter (Linda) Becerra of Columbus Ga, great grandparents Mrs. Diane Barfield of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Wesley (Kathleen) Cummings of Buford Ga, brothers Mr. Cameron Baysore of Green River WY, Mr. Jackson Spraggins of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Anna (Keline) Jones of Thomaston Ga, Miss. Mrs. Betty Bradshaw Adams, age 91, of Thomaston, died Friday, April 12,
2019, at her residence.  Graveside funeral  services for Mrs.  Adams will be
held Monday, April 15, at 11:00 AM, at Crystal Hill Cemetery.  The family
will receive friends Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 at Fletcher-Day Funeral

Mr. Harry Ray Griffis Jr.

Mr. Harry Ray Griffis, Jr. age 97 of Thomaston Ga, died Friday April 12, 2019 at Providence Health and Rehab.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Griffis was born February 20, 1922 in Detroit, MI to the late Harry Ray and Lillie M. Griffis, Sr. and grew up in Silver Creek, NY with his sister Erva. He married Edith May Finch September 10, 1942 in Buffalo, NY and was married for 68 years.

He served in the United States Army Air Corp in 1943 during WW II, worked as a mason and moved to Miami, FL in 1956 where he worked as a Engine Inspector for the airlines.

Mr. Griffis was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a daughter, Pamela Rider.

Survivors include his daughter, Gail Lynn Griffis, son-in-law, DeWayne Rider, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

MRS. MYRTLE MCLEOD

Mrs. Myrtle McLeod, age 81, of Thomaston, died Monday, April 8, 2019, at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin, GA.
Graveside services will be Thursday April 11, 2019 2:00 PM in Southview Cemetery.
Mrs. McLeod was born March 1, 1938 in Decatur Co., GA to the late Ralph Rich and Omie Ola Ritter Rich Andrews and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Barnesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ralph and Ben Rich and a sister, Elsie England.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Pitts and her husband Richard of Thomaston and Jackie Wilson and her husband William of Griffin, three grandchildren, Michael Storey and his wife Jackie, Madison Morris and her husband Brock and Heather Wilson.

MR. JERRY DOYEL LEDBETTER

Mr. Jerry Doyel Ledbetter, age 57, of Meansville, died Monday, April 8, 2019, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Mr. Ledbetter was born on May 2, 1961 in Atlanta Ga, to the late Charles Emmett Ledbetter. He was employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation where he worked in the Sign Shop.

Survivors include his son Mr. Jeremy Ledbetter of Palmetto Ga, brother Mr. Charles Ledbetter of Thomaston Ga, 1 grandchild.

MRS. EVIE PEARL BOND HEATON

Mrs. Evie Pearl Bond Heaton age 88 of Thomaston Ga, died Friday April 5, 2019 at her residence. 

Mrs. Heaton was born on November 16, 1930 in Griffin Ga, to the late Eason Bond and the late Annie Bell Dorsey Bond. She worked for Loving Care Nursery for many years and was a member of Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Alvin Heaton, daughter Angela Howell, sisters Imogene Anderson and Lorene Bond.

Survivors include her daughter Donna Kendrick of Snellville Ga, son Terry Heaton of Thomaston Ga, brother Eason Bond Jr., of Monroe Ga, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

MRS. FRANCIS JONES NIPPER

Mrs. Frances Jones Nipper age 94 of Thomaston Ga, died Saturday April 6, 2019 at Upson Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs. Nipper was born on August 4, 1924 in Talladega Al, to the late Timothy L. Jones and the late Irene Hurst Jones. She was a 1942 graduate of R.E. Lee Institute. Mrs. Nipper was formerly employed with The William Carter Company where she worked as a supervisor for 27 1/2 years until her retirement. She was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church and also a member of the Upson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Mrs. Nipper enjoyed crocheting hats for infants at the hospital. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Royce J. Nipper and son in law Clayton Simmons.

Survivors include her daughter Mrs. Jan Simmons of Thomaston Ga, grandchildren Andy Simmons, Blake (Lauren) Simmons,  great grandchild Jack Simmons.

Mrs. Christine Williams Walker, 96, 2067 Wiley Street, passed on Monday in the Providence Health Care.

Mrs. Peggy Elizabeth Salter, age 58, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Salter was born July 26, 1960 in Thomaston, GA to the late James and Mary Elizabeth Daugherty, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband Marion Thomas Salter, sons, Mark (Monica) Daugherty of Thomaston, Frank Egnew of Woodstock, daughter, Elizabeth Egnew of Utah, brothers, Emmett (Judy) Daugherty of Utah, Leonard (Christine) Daugherty of Pike County, Jimmy (Martha) Daugherty of Thomaston, sisters, Ida Holloway and Annie Townsend of Thomaston, grandchildren, Haley Moore, Kendall Daugherty, Cayden Moore and Mark Daugherty Jr.

MR. STANTON HUGHES SIZEMORE

Mr. Stanton Hughes Sizemore, age 90, of Thomaston, and formerly of Johnson
City, Tennessee, died Monday, April 1, 2019, at Upson Regional Medical
Center. Memorial services will be held at a later date.   Mr. Sizemore is
the father of Mrs. Kathy Gilstrap and father-in-law of Dr. Glenn Gilstrap,
pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Thomaston.  Fletcher-Day Funeral Home

Mr. James Edward Streetman, 83, of Thomaston, died Saturday, March 30, 2019,
at Upson Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services for Mr. Streetman will
be held Monday, April 1, at 4:00 PM, at the Yatesville Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Yatesville.  The family
