William Donald DeLoach

Mr. William Donald DeLoach, age 94, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Griffin, GA.  Funeral services for Mr. DeLoach will be held Thursday, April 11, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.  Rev. Bryan McPherson and Rev. Ted Kandler will officiate, and interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on  Thursday morning from 10:00 until the funeral hour.

Mr. DeLoach was born in Thomaston on April 27, 1929, to the late Alvah William DeLoach and the late Sue Nicholson DeLoach.  He was a 1947 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute, and he was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. DeLoach was a retired service technician for Atlanta Gas Light Company.  He enjoyed any activity that involved working with his hands.  Mr. DeLoach was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomaston.

In addition to his parents, Mr. DeLoach was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-five years, Pauline McSwain Deloach; a brother, Alvah Leonard DeLoach; and a nephew, Len DeLoach.  Survivors include a sister, Shirley DeLoach Farr of Marietta, GA; nieces and nephews: Denise (Stuart) Glover of Wilson, NC; Jay Hudson of Dallas, GA; and Lance (Elizabeth) DeLoach of Thomaston.  Several great nieces and nephews also survive.
