Mr. Nelson was born on February 23, 1945 in Thomaston Ga., to the late Paul Nelson and the late Mae Belle Nelson. He was formerly employed with Martha Mills where he worked as a supervisor for many years and later worked for Tire and Auto Master. Mr. Nelson served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a Mason. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Marsha Nixon Nelson.
Survivors include his sons Richard (Rebekah) Nelson of Meansville Ga., Chad (Kiwanda) Nelson of Macon Ga., sisters Barbara Nelson Cargile of Thomaston Ga., Shirley ( Kenny Patrick) Huckaby of Thomaston Ga., 4 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Saturday September 18, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
