Mr. King was born on December 1, 1924 in Spalding County, to the late Joe Henry King and the late Ida Bell Norris King. He served our country in US Army during WW II, he then went on to work at Thomaston Mills where he later retired. Mr. King was a faithful member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church for 60 years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Selph King, brother, Tink King, granddaughter, Whitney Paige Grim, and sister, Fay Rupert.
Survivors include his daughter, Sheila (Bobby) Lentz of Snellville, son, Danny (Joy) King of Warner Robins, 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from Clarks Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church.
