Mary Ann Roughton, age 79, passed away at home with her sister by her side. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, and moved to Thomaston in 1998 to be near family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary B. Fox, brother Buddy Roughton and sister Linda Roughton Booth, niece Kim Wilson, cousins, Pat Boomhower and Irene Roughton.
She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Roughton Ussery, nephews Preston and Scott Wilson and David Wayne Roughton, cousins, Theresa Roughton Nash and Herb Boomhower. Mary loved all animals; Sweetie Pie was her little dog and Whiskers the cat. She was a good, kind person.
She will be cremated and taken back home to Virginia.
