Rev. Walter Roscoe "Buddy" Morris, age 74 of The Rock, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Upson Regional Medical Center.
Rev. Morris was born on May 27, 1942 in Porterdale Ga, to the late Willie Perry and Pauline Wages Morris. He worked as a truck driver for many years and was a shift foreman with Peerless Mill. Rev. Morris served the Lord as a Pastor at New Life Pentecostal Church and was the founder of Outreach Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Lindie Morris of The Rock Ga, daughters Mrs. Darlene (Bennett) Smith of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Karen (Robert) Grammer of Barnesville Ga, sons Mr. Michael (Tammy) Morris of Meansville Ga, Mr. Joseph Stephenson of The Rock Ga, brother Mr. Ray (Betty) Morris of Thomaston Ga, sisters Mrs. Evelyn Kearby of Franklin Oh, Mrs. Deborah (Dan) Sanders of Lancaster Ca, Mrs. Pam Russell of Ringold Ga, Mrs. Janis (Bruce) James of Thomaston Ga, 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, close friend Jimmy Presley Sr.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday February 17, 2017 from 12-2 p.m.
