Mrs. Mary Rachel Shaw Jones age 88 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday February 22, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Jones was born on January 21, 1929 in Thomaston Ga, to the late William Harvey and Naomi Ruth Denham Shaw. She worked for the William Carter Company as a seamstress for many years. Mrs. Jones attended New Life Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Glenn Jones Sr, sons Boyd Glenn Jones Jr. and Ralph H. English.
Survivors include her daughter Miss. Shian Teal of Thomaston Ga, step sons Mr. Randy Jones of Roberta Ga, Mr. Larry Jones of Warner Robins Ga, sisters Mrs. Ruby Weldon of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Sarah Fordham of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Emily Williams of Thomaston Ga, 4 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday February 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Sunday February 26, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Southern Grace Hospice at 384 Racetrack Rd. McDonough Ga. 30252.
