Margaret (Peggy) Murdy Peggy Murdy of Barnesville Georgia and formally of Midland Michigan passed away on Monday May 18,2015. From complications due to Alzheimer’s.

Peggy Murdy of Barnesville Georgia and formally of Midland Michigan passed away on Monday May 18,2015. From complications due to Alzheimer’s. Peggy was born on September 19, 1923 in Hinsdale New Hampshire and was the adopted daughter of Arthur and Blanche Joslyn. In the early 1930’s Peggy was a part of a Vaudeville Tap Dancing trio called the “Three Lil Tykes” They toured all over New England playing in Vaudeville houses before World War II. During the war Peggy was a back up singer for the Western Group, “Sons of the Pioneers”. After the war, she became a Commercial Artist working mostly for Movie Theatre Houses in Keen and Newport New Hampshire for the Latches Theatre Chain where she would make Movie Poster Lobby Cards for the Up coming attractions. After she met her husband, Joe Murdy she then became a house wife.
In the 1960’s the Murdy family moved to Midland Michigan and after 30 years then moved to Barnesville Georgia.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Blanche Joslyn. Her husband J.W. Murdy and her Daughter Judith Fowler and her sons Jerry Murdy and Alan Murdy. Her survivors include her Daughter Joanne Struthers of Pt. St. Lucie Florida, her step son John Murdy of Powder Springs Georgia and her Son Bob Murdy of Hollywood California. And numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
In her later life, Peggy enjoyed doing Cross Word Puzzles, Water Color Painting and Needle Point.
She will be buried next to her husband in the Greenwood Cemetery. Per her request there will be no funeral services. There will be a prayer service at the grave site at a later date. In place of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s foundation in her name atwww.alz.org
