MRS. JOAN ALBRITTON PITTS

Mrs. Ioan Albritton Pitts age 85 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday December 5, 2019 at Riverside Health and Rehab. 

Mrs. Pitts was born May 21, 1934, in Taylor County, GA to the late Charlie Christ Albritton and Thessie Elonia Wisham Albritton.  She worked as care provider at a nursing home, ran Grammy's Daycare out of her home, and was Food Service Supervisor for 7 years at Providence Nursing Home and Riverside Nursing Home.  She was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include, son, Benjamin Hilman Pitts Jr. of Orange Park, FL, daughters, Shirley(Marvin) Eubanks of Thomaston, GA, Debra Ann Pitts(Chris)Legg of Thomaston, Ga, and Shirl S. (Marty) Blackston of Thomaston, GA, ten grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Hilman Pitts Sr., son, Rusty Singletary, and sister, Wilma L. Carpenter.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Pitts will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church Crest Campus, burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Saturday December 7, 2019 at Coggins Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Fellowship Baptist Church at 1165 Hannah's Mill Road Thomaston , GA 30286.
