MRS. MARY SALLY WOOD HAMBY

Mrs. Mary Sally Wood Hamby age 92 of Thomaston Ga, died Tuesday September 17, 2019 at Riverside Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Hamby was born on January 28, 1927 in Telfair County Ga, to the late Raymond Thomas Wood and the late Maggie McCrakin Wood. She worked for the William Carter Company for many years and later worked for the Thomaston Times. Mrs. Hamby was a member of Thomaston First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Hamby, brother Escholl Wood and grandchild April Manus.

Survivors include her daughter Kathy Lynn Hamby of Jacksonville Fl, sons Gary (Charlene) Hamby of Thomaston Ga, David (Georgia) Hamby of Thomaston Ga, Danny (Sallie) Hamby of Byron Ca, Don (Jackie) Hamby of Cornelia Ga, brother Curtis (Barbara) Wood of Hazelhurst Ga, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday September 20, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Thomaston First Baptist Church at 208 South Church St. Thomaston Ga. 30286.
