MR. JAMES GARY WALKER

Mr. James Gary Walker, age 83, of Thomaston, died Sunday, September 15, 2019, at his residence in Thomaston.

Mr. Walker was born September 5, 1936, in Thomaston to the late John Will Walker and Nell Blount Walker. He retired form the B.F. Goodrich's Martha Mills as a Fixer with over 25 years of service, a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and life long member and Deacon of Emory's Chapel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Irene Walker; daughter, Debra Jean Williams, and his parents, John Will and Nell Blount Walker. Survivors are his sons, James "Danny" (Cassie) Walker and Jerry Alan (Jo Ann) Walker both of Thomaston; sisters, Peggy Strange of Thomaston and Diane Cook of Perry FL; brother, Harry Walker of Byron GA; and grandchild, Jessie Daniel Walker.

Memorial services for Mr. Walker will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Emory's Chapel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Emory's Chapel.
