Mr. Jimmie Zeno Taunton, age 76, of Thomaston, died Monday, December 26, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Taunton was born January 9, 1940, in Taylor County to the late Wanza Ward and Ludie Corine Taunton. He retired after 34 years with Sears service department, and a member of The Gathering Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. Taunton; sister, Linda (James) Abney; brothers, Cecil (Dawn) Taunton, Beason (Zetha) Taunton, and Roland (Kathy) Taunton; and god-children, Jeff Daniel, Becca D. Long, Jessica Pressley, Chuck Coker, and Ben Coker.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Taunton will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Gathering Church, 456 Hannahs Mill Rd, Thomaston GA 30286.
