Mr. Burks was born on July 20, 1952, in Upson County, Georgia, to the late Paul Jackson Burks, and the late Catherine Stevens Burks. He worked in the bleachery at the Thomaston Mills. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Burks of Thomaston, son, Michael (Kat) Burks of Thomaston, brothers, Danny (Angie) Burks, Keith (Crystal) Burks, sister, Paulette Corley, grandchildren, Sean Burks Houseknecht, and Seth Burks.
The family will receive friends at their residence at 319 B Street Thomaston, GA 30286 on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
