Tommy was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in DaNang, South Vietnam in the 4th Tactical Fighter Squadron during the Vietnam War. While in the military, he was a F-4 Phantom Fighter-Bomber Jet mechanic. After being released from active duty, he went to work for Southern Bell and then AT & T, retiring as a Sr. Systems Analyst after 32 years. Tommy enjoyed playing golf, kayaking and fishing. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Molena.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Eddie Holsombeck.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Linda Reese; son and daughter-in-law: Kevin and Candice Reese; daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Mike Wallis; grandchildren: Natalie Reese, Garrett Wallis, Brooke Wallis, and Cassidy Reese; brother: Mark Lower; sister: Susan Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2 p.m., in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, 1177 GA 109, Molena.
Friends may visit the family from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., graveside.
