Mr. Watson was born on January 4, 1959, in Upson County, to William Marvin Watson and the late Dallas Kirby Watson. He retired as a Lineman at Southern Rivers and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Bubba loved Jesus and his family fiercely. His favorite way to ‘pay it forward’ was to buy someone’s groceries when he was in line at the grocery store. He also loved to give the cashier $5 to ‘give to the next child that comes through your line’. Bubba was always ready to help someone in need and used his knowledge and skills to help friends and strangers alike. He loved to hunt and fish but most of all he loved spending time with his wife and son. They were his pride and joy. He is preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his wife, Lora Cukalevski Watson of Barnesville, son, Connor Hatchett of Barnesville, brother, Danny (Connie) Watson of Atlanta, sisters, Donna (Dennis) Fouts of Thomaston, Tracy (Jay) Watson of Thomaston, Crystal (Scottie Stephenson) Collins of The Rock, father and mother-in-law, Josif (Trudy) Cukalevski of Barnesville, brother-in-law, Kevin Figler of Rochester, New York.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.
