Mrs. Virginia Irene Cantrell Spires age 86 of Thomaston Ga, died Tuesday June 2, 2020 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mrs. Spires was born on June 3, 1933 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Henry Albert Cantrell and the late Fannie Sue Crenshaw Cantrell. She owned and operated Spires Clothing Store with her husband James and proudly served the community for over 50 years. Mrs. Spires was a member of Hightower Memorial Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son in law David Walton and sister Nadine Krepps.
Survivors include her husband Mr. James Spires of Thomaston Ga, daughter Mrs. Kim Walton of Dacula Ga, grandson Mr. Matt Walton of Dacula Ga.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday June 4, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home Portico on Thursday June 4, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Thomaston Hospice Foundation at 512 South Center St. Thomaston Ga. 30286 or to Pass The Salt Ministry at 208 South Church St. Thomaston Ga. 30286.
