MR. GEORGE CLAYTON SIMMONS, 67

Mr. George Clayton Simmons, age 67, of Thomaston Ga, died Sunday, June 17, 2018, at his residence. 

Mr. Simmons was born August 15, 1950, in Hawkinsville GA, to the late Thaxton and Faustine Davis Simmons. He was a counselor for Jackson State Prison, member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. 

He is survived by his wife, Jan Simmons; sons, Andy Simmons and Blake (Lauren) Simmons; sisters, Frances NeSmith, and Deborah Simmons; brother, Leroy Simmons; and grandson, Jack Simmons.

Funeral services for Mr. Simmons will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Coggins Funeral Home.
