Mrs. Nix was born on July 24, 1943, in Cuthbert, Georgia, to the late Isom Vickery, and the late Jewell McChargue Vickery. She worked at the William Carter Company, Sherry Lynn, and then went on to work as an Assistant Manager at Cato before retirement. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael "Roho" Gibby, and sister, Margie Archer.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl (Marc) Schumacher of Richmond Hill, Stephanie Ramsey of Richmond Hill, Kayla (Brian) Wheeless of Thomaston, sister Ruth Pippins of Thomaston, grandchildren, Tyler Schumacher, Ashley (Chris) Moore, Haley Ramsey, Ethan Wheeless, great-grandchildren, Hudson and Maxton Moore.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
