Mr. Watson Paul Rogers, age 58, of Thomaston, died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Rogers was born on August 21, 1962, in Chicago, IL., to the late Hugh Rogers, and the late Frances Durrough Rogers. He retired from Upson County in 2014, as the Building and Maintenance Superintendent. Prior to that he worked for Thomaston Mills. He coached many Rec Department football and baseball teams, and church league softball. Mr. Rogers was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Judy teal.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Melinda Ellington Rogers of Thomaston; daughter, Ashley (Josh) Bagley of Thomaston; son, Jordan (Chelle) Rogers of Thomaston; brother, John Wallace; sisters, Belinda Mazurkiewicz of Alabama, and Elizabeth Green; grandchildren, Kolton Snyder, Levi Bagley, and Ella-Kate Bagley; and nephew, Matt (Amanda) Teal of Warner Robins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m at Coggins Funeral Home.
