MRS. HAZEL SMITH ELLIOTT

Mrs. Hazel Smith Elliott age 89 of Thomaston Ga, passed away Sunday October 4, 2020 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Mrs. Elliott was born on June 21, 1931 in Pike County Georgia to the late Earnest Brantley Smith and the late Cora Lee Hurd Smith. She graduated from Zebulon High School in 1948. Mrs. Elliot worked as a supervisor for Lanier Electronics until her retirement. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Tabernacle. Mrs. Elliott was an avid gardener, homemaker, and church worker. She loved her kids, grand kids and church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Jackson Elliott, brothers Morris Eugene Smith, Henry Lawrence Smith, Jarvice Benard Smith, Earnest Brantley Smith Jr., Leslie Smith. Survivors include her daughters Angeline Elliott Byrd of Thomaston Ga, Beverly Ann Elliott of Thomaston Ga, Nancy Carol (Steve) Price of Woodland Ga, sister Martha Louise Smith of Zebulon Ga, grandchildren Brad Mitchell Barfield, Christopher Brett Price, Melissa Williams Rhodes, Hannah Elizabeth Brown, 9 great grandchildren, & companion cat Spunky. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Tuesday October 6, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements!!!!!!!!!!!!
