Mr. James F. "Jimmy Mac" McDaniel, age 79, of Thomaston, died Monday, July 20, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. McDaniel was born on April 7, 1941 in Thomaston, GA, to the late James Allen McDaniel, and the late Annie Grace Ellington McDaniel. He served his country in the U.S. Army and then went on to retire from the Upson County Sheriff's Office after 29 years. He was a member of The Gathering Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Marie McDaniel, daughter, Kaki (Steve) Heath of Athens, sons, Matthew (Shanna) Glanton of Butler, Jason (Krystal) Glanton of Thomaston, Brent McDaniel of Macon, sister-in-law, Judy (Mike) Bickers of Dallas and a very special friends, Jeff and Carlene Rogers of Butler, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from Crystal Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Coggins Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
