Mrs. Mary Annis Gilmer Watkins age 89 of Molena Ga, died Tuesday December 12, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Watkins was born on August 20, 1928 in Brooks County Ga, to the late Stanley Gilmer and the late Flossie Alexander Gilmer. She attended Georgia Southwestern University, and was employed with C&S bank and later worked for United Bank as a teller. Mrs. Watkins was a member of Thomaston First United Methodist Church where she was in the Tumblin Class and a member of the Upson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters Glenice (Chip) Watts of Ridgeland S.C., Lynn (Kenneth) Bell of Thomaston Ga, son Tony Watkins of Molena Ga, sister Faye Garrett of Thomaston Ga, sister in law Wynelle W. Wheeler of Panama City Beach Fl, special friend Britty Dickins of Thomaston Ga, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Thomaston First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Friday December 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to First United Methodist Church at 132 Cherokee Rd. Thomaston Ga, 30286 or to Upson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary at 801 West Gordon St. Thomaston Ga. 30286.
