Mr. Korey Blake Puckett, age 23, of Jackson, passed away November 13, 2022. Korey grew up in the Henry County area. He attended Ola Elementary and Middle School and graduated from Locust Grove High School. Korey’s goal was to be a Navy search-and-rescue diver and underwater welder. He was training in Chicago in Special Ops and was top in his class until a medical eye condition prevented Korey from completing his training. He went on to work in the film industry as a set creator with dreams to one day become an actor. Korey had a huge heart and was great with kids and the elderly. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially when he was eating his favorite mac & cheese. Korey enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved everyone whole heartedly, family and his friends. He could brighten any room with his contagious smile, and he was extremely loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Sue Long, Gary Edwards, and Linda Gail Puckett, his great-grandmother, Billie D. Ragsdale and his best friend, Summer Lee.
He is survived by his father: Keith Puckett (Sherry Puckett); mother: Sabrina Edwards (Greg Railey); sister: Kalli Ware (Chase Ware); niece and nephew: Rhyan Ware, Rhyleigh Ware and Rayden Ware; step-brother: Dylan Driver; grandfathers: Earl Long “Pop” and Charles Puckett “PawPaw”; aunt and uncle: Nan and Jerry Gibson; along with many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
