Ms. Harmon was born on July 25, 1936, to the late Andrew and Dewey Taylor. She was wed to Joseph Jackson Harmon. The couple had two sons, Jack and Jody. Ms. Harmon enjoyed reading and sitting with elderly patients in need of companionship and love. She was a longtime member of Pike Assembly of God where she enjoyed meaningful friendships with the New Found Joy group.
Along with her parents, Ms. Harmon was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jackson Harmon, and son, Murray “Jack” Harmon.
She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law: Jody and Andrea Harmon of Lithia Springs, Sylvia Harmon of Milner; grandchildren: Jacob Harmon and Christina Harmon; great-grandchildren: Nathan Layton and Troy Layton; niece: Fonda Reid, nephew: Roger Reid; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, November 27th at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family beginning at 3 PM at the funeral home. A family burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.
