Mr. Jeff H. Corbett, Jr., age 81, of Meansville, Georgia, died Friday afternoon, November 11, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Corbett will be held Wednesday, November 16, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Bro. Jeff Powell will officiate, and interment will follow in Fincher Memorial Cemetery in Meansville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.
Mr. Corbett was born March 11, 1941, in Savannah, Georgia. He was a 1957 graduate of Union Mission School. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was employed as a contractor with the civil service at Robins Air Force Base and was later employed as a private contractor until his retirement. He was a Mason and a Shriner with the Milan Lodge #393. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Corbett was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved buying sports cars.
Mr. Corbett is survived by his wife, Chris Corbett of Meansville; a daughter, Melanie (Jeffrey) Atteberry of Tallahassee, Florida; two sons, Nolan (Steven Yerkes) Rampey of Meansville; and Michael (Connie) Rampey of Jefferson; a sister, Gloria Mullens of Savannah; a brother, Joel (Norma) Corbett of Blackshear; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Corbett was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff H. Corbett, Sr. and Margie Josephine Thomas Corbett, his wife, Diane Stokes Corbett, a son, Michael Curtis Corbett, and a sister, June Jolissaint.
