MRS. SALLY ANN PARRISH COCHRAN

Mrs. Sally Ann Parrish Cochran, age 76, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Cochran was born on June 8, 1941, in Bibb County GA, to the late Frank Parrish and the late Nellie Irma Howard Parrish. She was formerly employed with the Upson County School System where she worked as a bus driver for many years. Mrs. Cochran was a member of Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Franklin Parrish.

Survivors include her sons, Harold (Brandy) Cochran of Thomaston GA, and Ronnie (Denise) Cochran of Thomaston GA; sisters, Eva Jo Pollard of TN, Cynthia Albritton of Thomaston GA, Judy (Chuck) Pyron of TN, and Sue Forrester of TN; grandchildren, Andy Johnson, Chelsea Peterson, Stephanie Bradley, and Rachel Cochran; great-grandchildren, Keelee Johnson, Zaylee Johnson, Dylan Johnson, and Jaxon Bradley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cochran will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Trice Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.

MR. WILLIAM "SKEETER" HOWARD

Mr. William "Skeeter" Howard age 86 of Thomaston Ga, died Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Riverside Health and Rehab. 

Mr. Howard was born on August 28, 1931 in Harris County Ga, to the late Olin Howard and the late Ethel Burden Howard. He worked as a short order cook for Alexandria Poolroom for many years. Mr. Howard was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Martha Ross Howard, daughter Shirley Parker, brothers Raymond Howard, Fred Howard & Alton Howard.

Survivors include his daughters Debra (Mike) Whitehead of Thomaston Ga, Rita (Tommy) Harrell of Thomaston Ga, sons Steve Bruce (Sandra) Howard of Thomaston Ga, Billy Pitts of Thomaston Ga, grandchildren Christy,Heather, Kevin, Jason , William & Michelle, great grandchildren Taylor, Ansley, Emily, Anthony, Nathan, Cheyenne & Harleigh.

Mrs. Kathy J. Pender Cummings, age 59, of Woodland, GA, died Saturday
evening, December 23, 2017, at Emory University Midtown Hospital, Atlanta,

MR. ROBERT GARY AMOS

Mr. Robert Gary Amos, age 74, of Houston TX, formerly of Thomaston, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Vosswood Nursing Center in Houston TX.

Mr. Amos was born September 30, 1943, in Upson County, to the late Robert Melvin and Annie Grace Sutton Amos. Mr. Amos received his Masters Degree from Auburn University. He was a petroleum engineer for Exxon, Porsche enthusiast, and of the Lutheran faith. 

Survivors include his wife Meadette B. Amos of Houston, TX, daughter, Angela Suzanne Amos Armstrong and her husband Jack of Seattle, WA, brother, Keith Amos and his wife Cindy of Thomaston, sister, Shelia Weeks of Thomaston and 2 grandchildren, Zoe Elise Amos and Noah Robert Armstrong.

Funeral services will be Tuesday December 26, 2017 11:00 AM Graveside at Crystal Hill Cemetery Father Michael Birdsong officiating.

Mrs. Eugenia Day Bullard, age 56, of Thomaston Ga, died Friday, December 22, 2017, in Meansville Ga.

Mrs. Bullard was born February 4, 1961, in Fulton County to Russell Eugene Day and the late Cecile Gordy Day. She was a Nurse and member of the Thomaston Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sophia Mariel Bullard; mother, Cecile Gordy Day; and sister, Deborah Day. Survivors are her brothers, Andrew W. Day of Thomaston, Barry Day of Palm Coast FL, and Randy Day of Las Vegas NV; father, Russell Day of Zebulon GA; aunt, Phyllis Gilbert; nephew, Kneeland (Bethany) Day; nieces, Natalea Day, and Jamie Lyn (Ryan) Behrendsen; and great-nephew, Liam Day.

Ms. Debra Louise Dean age 61 of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday December 20, 2017 at Spalding Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Dean was born on April 14, 1956 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Roy Brooks Dean and the late Doris Louise Maddox Dean. She was a homemaker. Ms. Dean was a member of Sylvia Hills Baptist Church and attended Clark's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Samantha Holifield of Thomaston Ga, sons Jason (Amanda) Holifield of Huntsville Al, D.J. Holifield of Thomaston Ga, brother Bruce Dean of Thomaston Ga, sister Darnell (Kenny) Poteat of Meansville Ga, grandchildren Cannon Holifield, Cambreigh Holifield, Channing Holifield, Maddox Holifield.

Mr. Stinchcomb was born on July 15, 1945 in Griffin Ga, to the late William Curtis Stinchcomb Sr. and the late Nellie Jacquelin Barrett Stinchcomb. He was formerly employed with Coca Cola where he worked in maintenance until his retirement. Mr. Stinchcomb was a member of Pritchett Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mary Annis Gilmer Watkins age 89 of Molena Ga, died Tuesday December 12, 2017 at her residence. 

Mrs. Watkins was born on August 20, 1928 in Brooks County Ga, to the late Stanley Gilmer and the late Flossie Alexander Gilmer. She attended Georgia Southwestern University, and was employed with C&S bank and later worked for United Bank as a teller. Mrs. Watkins was a member of Thomaston First United Methodist Church where she was in the Tumblin Class and a member of the Upson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughters Glenice  (Chip) Watts of Ridgeland S.C., Lynn (Kenneth) Bell of Thomaston Ga, son Tony Watkins of Molena Ga, sister Faye Garrett of Thomaston Ga, sister in law Wynelle W. Wheeler of Panama City Beach Fl, special friend Britty Dickins of Thomaston Ga, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

Mr. Jack Paul Fowler, age 82, of Thomaston, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Fowler was born on May 2, 1935 in Raleigh N.C., to the late Samuel Fowler and the late Bessie McFarlin Fowler. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Mr. Fowler was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a Mason and a Shriner.

Survivors include his daughter Donna Howard of Thomaston Ga, sons Eddie (Nancy Lowry) Fowler of Thomaston Ga, Ralph (Becky) Ellington of Thomaston Ga, brother Robert (Pearl) Fowler of Raleigh N.C., sisters in laws Carol Bradshaw of Thomaston Ga, Lilly Stoner of Thomaston Ga, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Wainwright Butts, age 81, of Barnesville, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Heritage Inn in Barnesville.

Mrs. Butts was born May 14, 1936, in Thomaston, to the late Henry and Bernice Wainwright. She retired from the Thomaston Mills Bleachery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy F. Butts Sr; and sister, Donnis Thompson. Survivors are her daughter, Angela (John) Haygood of Yatesville; sons, Billy (Jan) Butts Jr of Brooks GA, and Brock Butts of Roanoke AL; brothers, James (Margaret) Wainwright and Rodney (Carlene) Wainwright both of Thomaston; grandchildren, Aimee Elizabeth Haygood, Lori Dawn Harvey, Wendy Marie Jones, Kathryn Joyce Smith, William F. Butts III, Katherine Brooke Parrott, and Joy Nicole Hulsey; and 10 great-grandchildren.

MR. THADDUS JEFFERSON WHEELER

Mr. Thaddus Jefferson Wheeler, 75 of Meansville, GA, died Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Wheeler was born December 24, 1941, in Spalding County to the late Thomas Jefferson and Oma Wheeler. He worked for Thomaston Mills in the Quiller Room and as a Truck driver, he was also a bus driver for Pike County Schools, member of Vega Community Church, and Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Jean Wheeler of Meansville; son, Tony (Marlene) Wheeler of Thomaston; sister, Debra Adams of Thomaston; brother, William "Buster" (Geraldine) Wheeler of Thomaston; grandchildren, Nathan (Crystal) Wheeler, and Cody (Taylor) Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Mabrey Alice Wheeler, Summer Raybon Wheeler, Autumn Marie Wheeler, and Ashtynn Grace Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Lamar Wheeler.

Funeral services for Mr. Wheeler will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Vega Community Church, with burial to follow in Vega Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dorothy Idelle Chambley, age 79, of Barnesville Ga, died Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Heritage Inn in Barnesville.

Mrs. Chambley was born in Eastman GA. to the late Harlow and Ada Howard. She retired form the William Carter Company with over 27 years of service, formerly a Pink Lady with Upson Regional Medical Center, and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Chambley is survived by her daughters, Lisa (David) O'Berry of Baxley GA and Pam Ogilvie of Barnesville GA; sons, Mike (Lindy) Dinkins of Griffin, Mark Dinkins of Barnesville, and Jeff Chambley of Barnesville; sisters, Eudene Pitts of Thomaston, Betty Joyce (Butch) Wright of Thomaston, and Linda (Horace) Gros of New Orleans LA; brothers, Bill (Elanore) Howard of Reno NV, and Bob (Annie Ruth) Howard of McDonough GA; numerous grand and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Bond.

Mr. Edward Asbury Whitmire, age 87, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Oconee Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Whitmire was born June 24, 1930, in Toccoa GA, to the late Yoda and Pearl Davis Whitmire. He was owner/operator of Whitmire's Restaurant, and Tasty Freeze; member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, and U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Whitmire of Thomaston; sons, Alan (Dinah) Whitmire of Thomaston and Brad (Laurie Ann) Whitmire of Thomaston; sisters, Polly Snider of Toccoa GA and Mertis Moore of South Carolina; brothers, Truitt (Barbara) "Babs" Whitmire of Tennessee and Richard (Kathy) Whitmire of California; sister-in-law, Shirley Whitmire of Athens Ga; 4 grandchildren, Daniel Alan (Jennifer) Whitmire, Paul Edward Whitmire, Nickolaus Bradley Whitmire, and Rachel Nicole Whitmire. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Whitmire and Quinton Whitmire; and sister, Lillian Mitchell.

MRS. LOUISE FERRELL HUGULEY

Mrs. Louise Ferrell Huguley, 94, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, November
29th, 2017 at Riverside Health and Rehab. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Huguley will be held on Friday, December 1st, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston with Rev. Bill Barber officiating. A private entombment will follow in the Upson Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. 

The family of Mrs. Huguley will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 until 6:00 PM. 

Mrs. Huguley was born in Cardova, AL, on March 2nd, 1923. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee High School and was a well-known seamstress who worked out of her home. Mrs. Huguley was a member of the First Baptist Church and kept the newborn nursery for over 25 years. 

Mrs. Huguley is survived by two daughters, Denise (Tim) Lewis and Mary Elva Bucy, both of
Thomaston; a son, T. R. "Dick" Huguley of Carrollton; two granddaughters, Kelli (Jordan) Lewis Daniels of Forsyth and Mary Katelyn Lewis of Atlanta; and two great-granddaughters whom she adored, Ella Kate and Reece Sullivan Daniels.

Mrs. Ruth Evans Hammond, age 101, of Thomaston GA, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Riverside Health & Rehab.

Mrs. Hammond was born April 27, 1916, in Heflin AL, to the late Parson T. and Cordelia Ann Evans. She worked for B.F. Goodrich's Martha Mills in the Spinning Room for 35 years, then was a nurse for 20 years, and was a member of the Silvertown Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Leroy Hammond. Survivors are her daughters, Nancy (Charles) Hammond Meeks of Lithonia GA, and Cordelia Ann Jackson of Alpharetta GA; son, Benjamin L. (Coleeta V.) Hammond of Birmingham AL; sister, Grace Gaskill; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Miss Hilley was born October 27, 1979, in Upson County to Larry and Elaine Hilley Jr. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her parents, Larry and Elaine Hilley Jr of Thomaston; son, Walter E. Standard Jr of Thomaston; and grandmother, Winfried Standard of Thomaston. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Larry and Thelma Hilley Sr.

Mrs. Ellington was born January 17, 1944 in Thomaston to the late William and Utha Shumate. She retired from the William Carter Company, and was a member of the Thomaston First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harvey Ellington; daughter, Julie (Chuck) Harris of Thomaston; aunt, Christine Bailey of Thomaston; grandson, Will Harris; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her sister, Genelle Stubbs.

Graveside services for Mrs. Ellington will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 12:30 - 2:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Marie B. Ferguson, age 93, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, November 8,
2017, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Ferguson
will be held Saturday, November 11, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of
Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The

WANDA GRACE MCKINNEY AUSTIN

Wanda Grace McKinney Austin age 87 left this earth on November 9, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Kay, in Northport, Alabama. Wanda was born August 14, 1930, in Greenville, Texas to Claude and Zula McKinney. Wanda grew up in the community of Wieland, Texas and attended schools in Lone Oak and Greenville.   After High School Wanda attended and graduated from Draughons Business College in Dallas, Texas.
 Wanda was proceeded in death by her daughter, Gilda; her parents and all three of her brothers; Weldon, Wayne, and Wilburn McKinney. Also proceeding her in Death was her husband, Kenneth J. Austin.
 Left to carry on the family traditions and legacy are her four children; Gail Butler (Homer “Sonny”), Ken Austin, Jr. (Cindy), Susan Wilson (Odie) and Kay Day (Charles). In addition she leaves 4 grandchildren, Katie (Phillip), Melissa (Mike), Jenna (Gene) , and Odie IV and 5 great grandchildren, Kailee, Karoline, Kaden, Makenzie, Caden, Colton, King, and Jessie . Plus numerous nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
 Wanda and Ken relocated numerous times while raising their family. The journey began in Dallas and Wolfe City, Texas and ended in Georgia. Before our Mother’s final move to her daughter’s home in Northport, she had many fun filled days at Pine Valley Retirement Community in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.   One of her happiest moments was being elected QUEEN in 2014!
 A member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Wanda’s service will be handled by Coggins Funeral Home of Thomaston, Ga. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in a private memorial service at Southview Cemetary in Thomaston GA. The family will receive friends aon Saturday, November 11, 2017 form 1:00 - 3:00 pm at Coggins Funeral Hiome.

Mr. Ronald Dean Yopp, age 71, of Thomaston, died Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Mr. Yopp was born on May 30, 1946 in Macon Ga, to the late Samuel Yopp and the late Ruth Haxton Yopp. He was formerly employed with Upson EMS where he worked as a paramedic for many years. Mr. Yopp served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Yopp.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Robin Yopp of Thomaston Ga, son Mr. Ryan (Jess) Yopp of Thomaston Ga, sister Mrs. Cherie Yopp, grandchild Caroline Yopp.

MRS. ANNIE HOPE FENDER

Mrs. Annie Hope Fender, age 83, died Sunday, November 5, 2017, at her residence. 

Mrs. Fender was born May 28, 1934, in Peach County to the late Sam and Leola Daniel. She retired from the Thomaston Mills Spinning Room and was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Claxton Fender; and daughter, Mary Jo Bates. Survivors are her sons, Johnny (Tina) Fender of Sharpsburg Ga, and Jimmy (Sandra) Fender of Thomaston; grandchildren, Jeff (Dale) Bates, and Chris (Holly) Bates; great-grandchildren, Destiney (Chris) Wheeler, Constance Bates, Damian Bates, Madison Bates, and Courtney Bates; and great-great-grandchild, Temperance Wheeler.

Funeral Arrangements for Mrs. Fender will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2017, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

THOMAS A. PARKERSON

Mr. Thomas A. Parkerson age 77 of Hampton Ga, died Thursday November 2, 2017 at Brightmoor Hospice. 

Mr. Parkerson was born on May 9, 1940 in Thomaston Ga, to the late G.W. Parkerson and the late Chessie Mae Hester Parkerson. He was employed with the United States Postal Service for 35 years until his retirement. Mr. Parkerson Served his country in the U.S. Army as a sharp shooter. He was of the Baptist Faith. 

Survivors include his son Mr. Russell Lee Parkerson of Thomaston Ga, step son Mr. Tommy (Brenda) Woodall of Molena Ga, sister Mrs. Pat Parkerson of Thomaston Ga, grandchild Autumn Parkerson, special pets "Little Fella" and "Max".

Graveside Services will be held on Monday November 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Monday November 6, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Mr. James Edward Mock age 66 of Yatesville Ga, died Saturday November 4, 2017 at Providence Health and Rehab. 

Mr. Mock was born on December 25, 1951 in Alma Ga, to the late Bernice Mock and the late Juanita Pipkin Mock. He worked as a master plumber. Mr. Mock served his country in the U.S. Navy.

MRS. MILDRED ROGERS SMITH

Mrs. Mildred Rogers Smith, age 78, of Thomaston, died Monday, October 30, 2017, at Riverside Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Smith was born August 2, 1939, in Upson County to the late Ira A. and Vester F. Rogers. She was a store clerk for Big Apple, and member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Smith. Survivors are her brothers, Everett (Margie) Rogers of Austell GA and Charles (Martha) Rogers of Marietta GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

MRS. ANN BANKS PASLEY FLETCHER

Mrs. Ann Banks Pasley Fletcher, 86, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October
25th, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fletcher will be held on Saturday, October 28th,
2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Barber
officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mrs.
Fletcher will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday from 5
until 7 PM.
Mrs. Fletcher was born in Thomaston on August 29th, 1931, to the late
Charles M. and Jewell Barron Pasley. She's was a 1948 graduate of R.E. Lee
Institute and a 1952 graduate of Wesleyan College. 
She and her husband, the late James H. "Jimmy" Fletcher, married in July of
1952 and made their home in Molena where she taught 4th and 5th grade at the
Molena School. They became active in Pasley Funeral Home in the middle
years of the 1950s. In 1960, their participation in the firm was validated
when the company name changed to Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. 
Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the First Baptist Church and served in the
nursery for a number of years. She was a member of the Welcome Sunday
School Class.
She was a former director on the board of the First Bank of Pike and was a
former director of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. She was a member of
the Green Thumb Garden Club and also enjoyed playing bridge.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by two sons, Jim (Jana) Fletcher of Flowery Branch
and Bob (Kyle) Fletcher of Thomaston; nine grandchildren, Ana Jane (Colby)
Shepherd, Jay (Jennifer) Fletcher, Banks Fletcher, Sam Fletcher, Ann Durand,
Russell Durand, Jr., Elisabeth Fletcher, Andrew Fletcher and Ashley Durand;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death
by her daughter, Laura Ann Fletcher Durand.

Mr. Douglas McArthur Bridges, age 75, of Meansville Ga, died Friday, October 20, 2017, at his residence. 
Mr. Bridges was born on March 29, 1942, in Cordele Ga, to the late Jeff Bridges and the late Cora Harden Bridges. He worked as a supervisor with B.F. Goodrich Mills for many years. Mr. Bridges served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Mindy Anglin & Chase Anglin.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia Bridges of Meansville; daughters, Christy (Tim) Anglin of Meansville, Donna (Dexter) Hammond of Thomaston, and Paula (Larry) Watson of Meansville; sisters, Joanne Hewett of Thomaston, and Peggy (David) Holbrook of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Marsha Jackson, Lee Watson, Robby Watson, Jeffry Watson; and great-grandchild, Heather Jackson.

Mr. Ronald Jackson Carter, 76 of Thomaston died Monday, October 16, 2017, at Upson Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Carter was born August 25, 1941, in Dodge County to the late Ray and Florence Berryhill Carter. He was a retired Truck Driver.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Higgs Carter. Survivors are his daughter, Toiee (Russell) Blount of Thomaston; sons, James Carter of Brownsville TX, and Rex (Lisa) Carter of Hiram GA; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mr. James Ross Reeves, age 81, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Reeves was born on February 23, 1936 in Crawford County Ga, to the late Wade Reeves and the late Lucile Moncrief Reeves. He owned and Operated the Garden Patch in Barnesville Ga. Mr. Reeves served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Mason and Shriner. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his brothers Lincoln Reeves, Russell Reeves, sister Neva Pryor, grandchild Larry Reeves.

Mrs. Partridge was born August 30, 1936, in Upson County to the late, Leonard and Hilda Adams. She retired fro the William Carter Co. With 25 years of service, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her Husband William Richard Partridge; son, William Joe Moore; and sister, Linnie Ginn. Survivors are her son, Clayton (Angie) Moore; grandchildren, Brittany Moore, Chadwick Moore, Jonathan Moore, Joseph Moore, and Jeff Moore.

Mrs. Emma Doris Littleton Hale, age 96, of Thomaston, died Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Harborview Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Hale was born on September 27, 1921 in Forsyth Ga, to the late John Littleton and the late Emma Susie Cato Littleton. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hale was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd W. Hale and daughter Mary Jean Christopher.

Survivors include her daughters Mrs. Martha Smithey of Jonesboro Ga, Mrs. Linda (John) Breffle of Duluth Ga, Mrs. Connie Jo Miller of Thomaston Ga, sons Mr. Floyd Randall Hale of Thomaston Ga, Mr. John Wayne Hale of Thomaston Ga, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren.

MR.WILLIE RAY FOGARTY

Mr. Willie Ray Fogarty, age 79, of Thomaston Ga, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Fogarty was born in June 19, 1938, Pike County to the late Raymond and Mary Edna Fogarty, and spent most of his life in Thomaston. He was a 1957 graduate of Robert E Lee Institute and a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a firefighter for the Georgia Forestry Commission. He retired from the City of Thomaston Water Dept. as a systems analyst after 29 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, and he was a skilled custom knife maker.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Donna Fogarty of Williamson; granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Fogarty Harrell of Griffin; and sister; Elsie Watson of Thomaston. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Graveside services for Mr. Fogarty will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 4:00 PM in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2017 form 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

Mrs. Molly Widdows Jones, age 83, of Thomaston Ga, died Monday, September 25, 2017, at Providence Health & Rehab in Thomaston.

Mrs. Jones was born April 24, 1934, in Cambridge England to the late Harold Widdows and the late Phyllis Smith Widdows. She was a member of Moline Gospel Temple in Moline IL.

She is survived by her daughter Sandy (Bill) Doud of East Moline IL; son, Dave Jones of East Moline IL; sisters, Betty Widdows, and Cynthia Cross both of England; grandchildren, Matt Seeselt, Mitch Frymann, Brian Doud, and Kyle Doud; great-grandchildren, Abrialla Frymann, and Harper Seeselt.

Rev. Clinton Arthur Gibby age 83 of Thomaston Ga, died Saturday September 23, 2017 at Brightmoor Hospice. 

Rev. Gibby was born on June 6, 1934 in Cherokee N.C., to the late Arthur Gibby and the late Maebell Graves Gibby. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Rev. Gibby served his Lord and Savior as a minister.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Mae Gibby of Thomaston Ga, daughters Mrs. Sheila Moore of Thomaston Ga, Ms. Tina Gibby of Thomaston Ga, Mrs. Valerie (Alex) Leverett of Zebulon Ga, sons Mr. Justin (Tammy Greear) Gibby of Thomaston Ga, Mr. Keith Gibby of Thomaston Ga, brothers Mr. Dean (Peggy) Gibby of Commerce Ga, Mr. Bobby (Betty) Gibby of Byron Ga, sisters Mrs. Kathrine (Charles) Tucker of Williamson Ga, Mrs. Kristine Sapp of South Georgia, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday September 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home.

MR. CHRISTOPHER ROY BELL

Mr. Christopher Roy Bell, age 56, of Thomaston, died Monday, September 18, 2017, at the Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Bell was born September 21, 1960, in Upson County to the late Roy and Jackie Bell. He was a Journeyman Electrician for the IBEW, and member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Bell of Thomaston; daughters, Mandi Bell of Thomaston, and Christin Rowland of Naples Fl; sister, Justine Greene Thomaston; brother, Jason Bell of Thomaston; 4 grandchildren, Lexi, Blake, Dominic, and Belle.

Graveside Services for Mr. Bell will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Elkin's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
