To know Sylvia was to love her. She was not only known for her servant’s heart, but her friends and family loved to joke about her obsession with cleanliness. She loved Little Debbie cakes and enjoyed sneaking them to her great grand babies. Her laughter was contagious, and she never laughed more than when she beat you at rummy. She will be missed immensely, but what a sweet reunion she had in Heaven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sherry Betsill, brothers Junior and David, and sister Helen.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Amy Sikes (Nick) and Morgen Betsill; great-granddaughters: Hinley and Waverly Sikes and Marli Rose Betsill; brothers: Larry Prince and James Prince (Sandra); sisters: Brenda Cox (Larry) and Elizabeth Prince; son-in-law: Joey Betsill; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 19, at 5 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Smith officiating.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the funeral home.
