Gary Charles Bryant, age 71, of Pike County, passed away January 12, 2023.
Gary was born on January 10, 1952, the only child of the late Charles and Helen Bryant. He grew up in the Griffin area attending Crestview Baptist Church. Gary worked as a Product Movement Supervisor for Dixie Pipeline. He was in the propane industry for 35 years until his retirement.
Gary enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and flying radio-controlled airplanes. He was an avid gardener and was particular about his grass and keeping a well-manicured lawn. Gary was a talented wood worker who made chairs, swing sets and birdhouses. He was an excellent guitar player. His band, Klassic Kuntry, often performed at the Opry House in Hollonville. One of Gary’s favorite pasttimes was having lunch with his special Buffalo’s CafĂ© crew. Gary loved his family. He especially adored his granddaughter, Kinslee. Gary was a beloved husband, father and “Peppie”.
Gary is survived by his wife: Donna Wilson Bryant; daughters: Kristi Bryant of Brooklet and Kimberly (Chris) Irby of Concord; grandchildren: Kinslee Irby, Mackendon Jett, Kaitlyn Tucker; great-grandson: Eastyn Jett; many special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 15th at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 2 to 3 PM on Sunday prior to the service. The family requests that you dress casual.
