Mrs. Lucene Hammack Johnson, age 90, of Thomaston, died Monday, January 2, 2023, at the Spalding Center for Health and Rehab in Griffin.
Mrs. Johnson was born on January 21, 1932, in Randolph, Georgia, to the late C.M. Hammack and the late Vera Elizabeth Geeslin. She was retired from the B.F. Goodrich spinning room, and was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wheeler Johnson Jr. and her sister, Christine McDaniel.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Grant Johnson of Griffin, and David Wayne (Sandra) Johnson of Hogansville., three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Coggins Funeral Home.
